I am 14 weeks pregnant and just started having some pain at my port site. My surgery was a year ago July! What happed with your port pain, was it better when you stopped wearing jeans? What did your doctor do? It would figure this would happen on the Friday of a holiday weekend.. . . Thanks for any help!!

I am 14 weeks pregnant and had my band put in last summer. I chose to have all my saline removed to make sure I wasn't depriving my baby of any nutrients. My surgeon and GP both said they would do whatever it takes to get the weigh off again after the baby, but that this was a good choice. I also figured, I wouldn't learn how to eat around the band while pregnant and loose the effectiveness of the band all together. At least I can have it re-filled after the baby.

I am 3 weeks post-op and I've lost 20 pounds. It seems like I'm leveling out and not loosing as fast as I was. Is that normal?? I am still have some pain around the port site too? I will call the doctors tomorrow, I was just curious if anyone else was in a similar position. I'm starting to worry that I might not reach my goal weight. Please offer any advice!? Thanks so much! It will get better. I found the anesthesia lasted a lot longer then I expected. Pay attention to the chest pain. I was diagnosed with plural effussions. (fluid in between the layers of my lungs) It repaired itself, but it was definitely uncomfortable. Just rest and you'll get through it! Good luck! Ali
