:w00t: HI ALL, WELL LET ME GET RIGHT TO IT ! I AM FROM HOUSTON AND WAS BANDED IN LATE JUNE 2008,BEING WE WERE SELF PAY (INS. WOULD NOT PAY:angry_smile:) MY WOUNDERFUL HUSBAND DECIDED I SHOULD GET THE BAND BEFORE HIM. HE KNEW HOW MUCH IT MEANT TO ME!EVEN THOUGH HE HAS THE HEALTH PROBLEMS RELATED TO WEIGHT AND I DONT. SO I HAD IT DONE LIKE I SAID IN LATE JUNE. MY DR SEEMED WELL KNOWLEGABLE AND ALLWAYS QUICK TO CALL ME BACK SO ON AND SO FORTH. NOW THAT I AM BANDED I AM NOT LOSING LIKE I THOUGHT . I DO NOT CHEAT AT ALL!!!!! I ONLY EAT CHICKEN OR FISH . NO BREAD, SWEETS EXTRA. SO I STILL FELL HUNGER TOLD MY DR I NEEDED A FILL HE REALLY DID NOT WANT TO GIVE ME ONE BUT AT 4 WEEKS DID 1CC. STILL HUNGER WANT TO EAT LIKE I TOLD HIM I FEEL LIKE I AM DIETING WITH ALL THE STUFF THAT GOES WITH THAT THE HEAD ACHES:whatchutalkingabout, THE I CAN'T WAIT TILL I EAT AGAIN SO 3 WEEKS LATER I GET ANOTHER FILL NOW I HAVE 1.75CC (HAD TO BEG FOR IT AGAIN) BUT STILL ABLE TO EAT MORE THAN WHAT I THOUGHT I WOULD BE ABLE TO. SO NOW MY HUSBAND IS SECOND GUESSING GETTING HIS DONE. MY DR CALLED MY HUSBAND YESTERDAY TO ASK HIM IF HE WAS STILL GOING TO GET THE BAND AND MY HUSBAND TOLD HIM NO BECAUSE HE IS NOT HAPPY WITH MY RESULTS AT ALL. SHOULD I FEEL LIKE I HAVE TO BEG FOR MY FILLS OR LOSE ONLY 5LBS A MONTH LIKE MY DR IS NOW TELLING ME?:party: THANKS FOR ANY FEED BACK

Can't get fills - am I relying on band too much?

Well i feel like your telling my story. I had my band late june of this year so i'm 10 weeks out this fri. I have had two fills that i have had to beg my dr. For he now tells me he does not like to give them very often even though his letutre says he gives them every two weeks as needed when i sighned with him. Unfortunatlly i have alot of family members and friends that would benifit from the procedure but i can't seem to give them encourging news since i to have only lost 20 lbs and am hungery all the time. I feel like i am on a strick diet and told my dr. That. So my husband and i will be going this sat to talk to him and see what we can come up with. I don't like how at first he seemed very aggrisive about what i would be getting with the band and now nothing. With that said my husband , niece, and cousin has backed out of getting they'res. And that is sad because my husband has health issuses do to his weight. So i am fustrated to say the least not to mention we spent a whole hell of alot of money to get this done. We also have two friends that had the band and each have lost lost and lost weight but they went with another dr. -
Trying to hang in there i go back to my dr this week hope he will give me another fill. And no i don't excersize i guess i should start.

Going back to my dr this friday hope i can get another fill i just want the feeling of not being so hungry

Thanks, for the info. I go back to my dr. This fri. To talk to him with my hubby. Hopefully we will come up with something i feel happy with. I only have 1.75 cc in so hoping for at least icc. We'll see

I to was banded on a friday and went back to work on mon. I work as an office manager for an a/c company, so it wasn't to bad. I will tell you i was so ready to go home at the end of the day . I was very tired. Other then that it was okay. I had my surgery in late june of this year.

My dr. Seems to be a bit conservative he did not even want to give me one at four weeks he asked me if i could wait i told him sure if i wanted to feel hungry 24/7 and i thought that is why i had this done. So i go back aug 17 to get mor fill i hope he understands i want it cause i am getting hungry

Yea, i thought that to i would be lucky and not have to have any fills or at least not that many i go again on aug 17 for another one i just seem to be hunger and i want to find that sweet spot people talk about . I am at the point i can't wait till the next time i can eat and for that i would just be a one heck of a strick diet like i have done half my life i dont want to fell that hungry. I guess you are from tx being your user name . I too iam from tx tomball area

Yea its hard not to et discouraged i go aug 17th for my 2nd fill cant wait i just want to find that sweet spot?

gosh we must have had our band around the same time fri. i will be 6 weeks out i have lost around 20lbs i had my first fill at 4 weeks out and going for another one aug 17 yes my dr see patients on sun. makes things nice . after the first fill i still find myself hunger lets see what happens.

hey, thanks for repling i guess i am getting a bit nervouse you know this is not cheap and i want to see results. my husband called my dr and he will be giving me another fill aug 17th so lets see what happens

Hi,i to had my surgery in june 27 2008 i have lost 10 lbs. I went in last friday july 18th for my first fill but i still feel that i can eat anything i am stuck on 200 lbs and getting a little fustrated
