    Hi all,

I'm new here to bariatric pal and I'm trying to get some information and some real life experiences about vaping after surgery. I am 4 months out after surgery and I REALLY miss my vaping. I miss the flavor I miss the taste etc. I'm just curious if anyone vapes after surgery and what their experience has been. Thanks for reading and answering. ;) :D

Girl, do whatever you want, the negative comments are not not needed so just avoid those as a smoker myself i did start vaping because I was forced to quit but after i was released I got back on cigs and it has not hurt me in the slightest people who are not smokers either vapes or cigs do not understand, Do you and what you feel is best, peoples anxiety is already high from the surgery. And dont worry about the negative comments. Im doing fantastic, my surgery was March 31st and Iv already lost 41 pounds.

Thank you so much for responding Stephy. You seem to be doing amazingly well, I'm so pleased for you . I have a meeting with my consultant soon and I'm sure he'll probably say the same thing as you. You're right I just need to give it time, thank you

Absolutely, you will do just fine, usually knock on wood I don't have issues after surgery, so far so good, this definitely hasn't been a easy road but you will get there, trust me it wasn't rainbows for me either the liquid and pureed stages well hell on me, just have faith in your team.

    Hi All

Hope you're all losing and feeling fantastic . I'm struggling to eat at the moment and wondered if anyone had an tips on how I can improve things. I now hate the smell of meat, it makes me gag and after 3 tsp of food I quickly feel full, uncomfortable and sick. I have tried to go back a step and eat pureed/mashed food but the same thing happens. I am also still not regularly going to the toilet, it's probably once to twice a week and starts off normal but ends up as diarrhoea . I had me op 24th March so I'm 5 weeks out. How much food are you managing to eat in a day? I really appreciate any support .

I'll be 5 wks on Friday, iv had a few things get stuck and it's uncomfortable for about 10 min really stinks, but iv eaten eggs, bacon, sausage, shrimp, crackers, iv even had a piece of thin crust cheese pizza, iv never been regular as far as #2 goes but it's never been pure liquid since the surgery either, your esophagus may need to stretch a little more we all heal differently. But I'm sure it will get better in the coming weeks. Good luck

Refried Beans is another option. I'd add a load of fire sauce and then some Greek yogurt on the side, in place of sour cream, since you can't have cheese. I have an unnatural love affair of all things hot and spicy. I hope I can still eat spicy stuffies after the bypass.

I can't do Beans until next stage, I'm very limited. Different states and different drs have separate plans grrrrr

I made a roast in the crockpot for my family. I took a little bit a roast a little bit of potatoes and a little bit of carrots and blended it all up and it was pretty darn good!
Cream Soups are OK you can just pick out the two pieces of chicken or the three mushrooms that are in the can😹🤦‍♀️
There’s always mashed potatoes😋 with gravy!
I got unflavored Protein Powder and added it to a lot of things.

I use unflavored Protein powder also, pureed texture is just so gross 🤢 I guess Ill have to stick to everything I have been eating.

I'm on week 5 foods, soft or cooked fruits. I've been slowly adding things and listening to my body. I had my post op last week and my Dr cleared me for normal life. I'm down nearly 60 pounds from the start of the program, only 20 since surgery. Next week is breads and I really have no desire to eat them. I crave cucumbers, almond butter, and chicken wings. I have trouble stomaching my Vitamins, they make me super sick. Most difficult has been getting used to not being able to drink for 30 min after eating. Most delightful has been seeing the difference in my mentality, I'm not feeling so down and sad anymore, I feel like I have something to look forward to every day. Every week is a new food group and every day is a new food, some of which I liked before and hate now, some I hated before and love now. I'm slowly getting more energy again and it makes me feel happy.

Do you actually eat wings 😂
