Minxz replied to Carriedaway78's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Spidey how wonderful you can walk your son to work. I always find that some of my best bonding memories was walking with someone. Carrie I have to admit I don't like Jillian Michaels I find her a bit annoying but the work out is really good. Its short so for the day I dont have time I feel VERY worked out in 20 minutes. I am still on the stage 1 workout but I've only had that one of a week so hopefully someday I will be able to graduate to the next stage Val I love Bikrams Yoga I havent done it in years there is no place near by that does it. I felt so relaxed and well after doing it! -

Carrie I have several I have been doing. I have the Jillian Michael's 30 day shred, Callinetics and a Jane Fonda Low Impact work out I really like. I also have been DVRing the All star workout on Fit TV and Shimmy. -

When I don't exercise I don't see results. I started again last week and dropped 4lbs.. Hopefully I can keep it up. I do a variety of things. Work out DVD's, bike riding, Belly dancing. Just trying to put in at least an hour a day. -
Yay I worked out tonight! Did pretty good with food today. Dinner could have been a better choice but I'm still happy with today. Gratz on the 2lbs Momcof3 and the dress looks great on you AudsMom!! I hope someday to get into a size 12.

I am feeling a little jelouse of the relationship most of you seem to have with your Doctors lol My surgeon was very very good just not a warm and fuzzy sort. Not a talker. Oh well we got the job done and I'm happy with the surgery. Desperate I would love to come but sadly I'm about 2 hrs away. When are the support groups again?

I finally lost a pound this week. I think the last fill is helping a lot. So now I'm 276

My surgeon was Dr. Li he was very businesslike. I told him what surgery I wanted and he went over the pros and cons and told me what next step he's like me to take (blood work lose more weight etc)

Hi Ladies! I wish I lived close enough I would really like a support group to attend. I'm in Gilroy which is roughly 2 hours from Sacramento. Small my recovery was great. I stayed one night in the hospital and three days at home. I slept in a recliner because getting up and down was complicated for the first couple days. Slept a lot. Pain wasn't bad. They had me on a morphine drip at the hospital which was GREAT and at home liquid vicoden I still have 3/4 of the bottle left.

Hello all just wanted to to introduce myself. My name is Emily I was banded at Kaiser SSF on May 21st. WL has been slow but at least its going down. I need to step up my exercise. I have 6.5 cc in a the 14cc band. I am just starting to get some restriction and am hoping that I'm within a fill of my "sweet spot". Nice to meet ya'll :w00t:

I have decided that I need to keep a day to day accounting of this journey. I am struggling right now with self control. I was doing so well with my exercise for the first 2 months but then I guess I wore myself out and got frustrated that the scale wasn't moving. I know I was losing inches but I wanted to see some pounds drop away. I had my third fill yesterday. I see a difference. I am hoping I actually lose some weight this month. I need to sit down and plan healthy low carb meals but just haven't had the time or money or lets face it the motivation to really sit down and figure out what I am going to eat for a week. So I guess my determination today. Is to steal Nike's motto and JUST DO IT. Why are the harder things in life always so easy to summarize in so few words?

anyone have PCOS-polycystic ovarian syndrome?
Minxz replied to Just Banded's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Well part of me is relieved to understand why I never feel satiated and part of me is horrified that its not something I can "fix". Though it does explain why low carb always works best for me. -
I have been wanting more information about stretching a pouch as well. To stretch it you have to consistently overeat for an extended time right? And if you are careful for a long time wont it shrink back up or am I misunderstanding it?

Its when you break 199 lbs and under. You left the three and two hundreds behind and are now in onederland :blushing:. I had my third fill yesterday. I finally feel some restriction. I HOPE it lasts. I am at 6.5 cc in the 14cc band.

That would be great I would love a group that didnt involve me taking half a day off work! -
Hello my name is Emily. I am 32 and was banded on May 21st. My highest weight was 303lbs and am currently 277. My weight loss has been slow so far as I lost about 15 lbs before surgery. I have had 2 fills and am getting a 3rd one today which I am hoping will get me closer to my sweet spot. My biggest struggles are consistency. I work a lot and like most of us have a high stress lifestyle. I know what I should be doing but often lack the self control to do it. I will do really good for 2 - 6 weeks and then fall off. I then do poorly for awhile before I can get back into healthier habits. I am looking for someone to help me with accountability without beating me up when I am struggling. Mentally I understand it took me 10 years to put on this weight and its unreasonable for ME to expect to lose it in 6 months. I struggle with emotional and stress eating. I also have PCOS which slows my weight loss. I live in Gilroy, CA (about 80 miles south of San Francisco). I am married with no children. Thank You for reading
