Hello @carpeedim i had my surgery 03/02/2022 and i felt the same exact way , my anger and irritation was out the roof the first couple weeks i got so mad i kicked a hole in my door arguing with my spouse. Honestly I’m going to say it gets better to both of you . I have moments where i feel sad and I’m not sure why but i think i connected it with food . I never knew hose happy food made me until i couldn’t have it or have as much of it . I enrolled in therapy and I’m learning to cope with my emotions and irritation . But it will get better i promise you guys , I’m 5 weeks out and i have lost 45 pounds total . So trust me nothing great or deserving comes easy in life ,

Thank you guys so much & yes people did try to talk me out but i knew what i wanted for my future ! & it’s ok luv you started 100 pounds smaller so you will loose a little slower then someone who started at 300 plus pounds but i can’t wait until the scale starts with 2 !! Good luck on your journey !!

March 2022 Surgery Buddies

I definitely understand how you feel my friends and family eat regular foods around me and it makes me sad sometimes because i have to be on liquid diet for 2 weeks but just know eventually you will get to eat the same things they eat . Keep trying to find food that you can. Tolerate that make you full that’s what i was told certain light food might not fill you up but meat and cheese dishes might or something similar . So keep trying until you find something and know that we all are going through the same thing it’s very difficult but it’s so worth it. -

Hello i got sleeve 3/2/22 and I’m still on soup broths as my surgeon request for 2 weeks but i understand what you mean , i also have yet to feel full even when i drank a fruit smoothie i still don’t feel full . I haven’t gotten to soft foods yet by i find it crazy that i haven’t felt full not one time -
Sorry to hear that , luckily i haven’t had any issues keeping anything down no nausea or vomiting at all . Knock on wood ! I’m just exhausted with the soups shakes and water .
-
Really i wish i could do the purée / soft food but my surgeon required 2 week liquid for post op i have about a week left . I can’t wait to get to that stage though
-
Thanks so much for the tips , can i ask why you struggled with the soft food phase ?
