  1. Anyone with a Creami care to share some of your favorite low carb recipes? I just bought one today and I need some ideas.
  2. Did you stay over night at the hospital or did you go home the same day? I'm thinking if going home same day. But not sure if that's the best thing to do. I have a high tolerance for pain. But I know WLS pain might be different.

    Weight loss shots

    Has anyone tried doing the weight loss shots? My surgery was just over a year ago and I still haven’t lost 50lbs. I started out with a lower BMI. So my surgeons are ok with where I’m at but I’m not. So I’m looking into the shots to help me a long. Just wondering if anyone else has had any luck
  4. Oh y’all. It’s been a little bit since I’m been on this forum. I’m struggling with any weight loss. It’s like I’ve hit a wall for the last 3 months. This is my stats. SD 4/26/22 / SW 216 / CW 175 / GW 130 / age 50 My team has me under 700 cal and less than 20 carbs a day. I use to basically eat yogurt for almost every meal 🤷🏼‍♀️. But my team say I wasn’t getting enough protein and my body was probably bored and that was causing my slow down in weight. So they had me to mix things up. So I started eating more protein (meats, chicken etc) well then I started started gaining 😡. My last weight in back in January was 173. I gained up to 180 when adding back food. Now I’m down to 175 but I can’t get the scale to move. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong 😑. My hair is still falling out and I’m definitely getting my protein and my vitamin levels are good. I just don’t feel like my team believes me when I tell them I’m not going over calories or carbs. I’m just beyond frustrated at this point.

    From what I understand since I’m still under the 1year mark is the reason for the lower calorie. Honestly at this point I’m scared to even up my calories. When I add back different foods I gain weight. Now I’m just not losing. I feel stuck in the 170s. I’ve been here since November

    Honestly when I started adding foods like grilled chicken and other veggies I started noticing that my weight increased. I’ve lost a few of those pounds but not all. I’m not back eating just yogurt and drinking protein shakes. Occasionally I’ll eat grilled chicken and veggies but I limit it now. My vitamin levels are good. All blood work is good. yes I’ve talked to my wl team. They haven’t been much help ( in my opinion) they just seem to not believe me 🤷🏼‍♀️ Yes I do have artificial sweeteners. One coffee a day with Splenda and sugar free creamer. Sugar free jello and sugar free redi whip Very little processed food is in my diet. I will eat cheese with my veggies or chichen when I do eat that. Unless what I said above is considered processed. I eat no lunch meat or protein bars. My team has me on low calorie low carb and I stick to it. But occasionally I might go over but it’s not daily or even every other day. I weigh my food and don’t go over the 6 oz of food per meal I get 80 oz of water a day.

    I do that now. And I get 80 oz water a day. That’s why I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Everything on paper looks good. It just completely baffles me

    Excess skin after WLS

    I'm a 50yo woman. 5'6" 220lbs. I go for my wls consultation tomorrow. For those that have had the surgery. Did you have the excess skin? Did you have to get the extra skin removed? I'm wondering those with the lower bmi did your skin look ok enough not to get the surgery?

  10. My surgery was April 26 22. I have gained 5 lbs in my weeks. I’m struggling to get back on track. I went on vacation to the beach and I didn’t stick to the plan. Now I can’t seem to get control of my snacking? How do I get back on track. How do I stop all of these cravings? Why is this so hard??

    Thanks y’all. Something y’all have mentioned us hydration. That might be it. It just click that I’m not drinking water like I was. I’m going to try to get my water back to 100oz a day. Hopefully that will help. Thanks!!!

    Stalls??

    What time frame did y'all hit the dreaded stalls? My first was at 3 weeks. I'm at 15 weeks now and trying to see if I'm in a stall or doing something wrong. Sleeved 4/26. SW 216 CW 188

    I typically weigh in the morning because that's when I weigh less lol. Sometimes I weigh before bed. But mainly in the mornings

    I'm a slow loser. I've been told it's because my BMI is on the lower end. So after my 3 week stall I only lose 1lb a week. I have not lost anything for almost 3 weeks now. So I guess I'll go back to my liquid diet and see if that helps.
  18. How long did it take for your blood sugar to go below 100 at morning fasting? I had my blood work done today. My regular dr is also testing me for the antibodies to see if I could be type 1 diabetic because autoimmune runs in my family. (My mom got type 1 at 75 years old just last year) my sugar is still running around 150 in the mornings. I'm keeping positive thoughts that it is just type 2 and will eventually go down to a normal level.
  19. I'm almost 3 months out and I could eat the whole bagel and probably more. The only time I get restriction is when I have to sip on water with a meal. I hate that I no longer have restriction
  20. I'm just a few days away from getting to finally eat food, 🙌. So what do y'all recommend? I know I can have scrambled eggs, can tuna, can chicken and refried beans. I'm so over this liquid diet and I'm ready to plan a meal lol. Also, right now I can drink my weight in liquids. Will eating be different? Will I get fuller faster? I'm just trying to get a idea of how I'm might feel after actually eating.

    Protein HELP

    Ok. I had my 4 week check up (via phone call). I told my surgeon that I didn't feel like my weight loss was going good. He agreed that it's not as good as it should be. After talking with him. I realize I'm not getting in my protein. I've been so focused on eating 4oz of protein. I wasn't thinking of getting 60g of protein a day 🤦‍♀️ What do y'all eat to get the full amount in? The shakes are making me nauseous now. I'm still on soft foods. So stuff like 2 eggs only give me 12g of protein. 4oz Refried beans only give me 6g. Im not sure how to get the protein in with out over eating. This is so confusing to me. Im a picky eater so this makes it even harder for me.

    Do any of y'all wear the patches? I've been looking into the patch aid brand. Just wondering if your blood work looked good with just wearing the patches. I can't remember to take my vitamins by mouth. So I was hoping these actually worked.

    Im so disappointed in myself. I have been craving foods that aren't good for you. Up until the last couple of days. I have been able to fight it off. But today I have eaten all day long. My food choices are not as bad as they were before WLS (most everything has Protein in it). but I can't believe I have eaten so much. Today I've eaten : breakfast: Greek yogurt w/ protein granola. Snacks all day 🤦‍♀️ (unknown amounts) I've gone back several times for a handful of granola and bbq Pork rinds lunch 4oz of honey baked ham and 2oz of mashed potatoes supper Greek yogurt w/ protein granola I never got any restriction feeling but I am so miserable now! I know tomorrow is a new day but I worry I've gotten the taste of junk and I'll release to my old ways
