No I'm not on any other medication. So that's probably why it's so hard for me to remember and get use to the new normal.

But there's that hungry feeling too. Maybe it's hard to explain because I know everyone is different. But for me I know the difference in just my belly/gut making noise. It has been making noise since I've had surgery. But this growling and feeling is definitely hunger. I do fight it and I try to stay busy. But no matter I do at this point it's not going away. I'm hoping once I get to add soft foods it will stop. I'll update when I do lol. I'm thinking of calling my surgeons office and ask about starting the soft food just a day or two earlier. Just giving them the info and see what they say. I've stuck to the plan and will continue to do so.

I wasn't hungry at all for 11 days post op. But the last 4 days I have been. I know it's hungry, I can tell the difference between just grumbling vs growling. My stomach does both now. My weight loss is very slow coming off too. I get to start soft foods in a couple of days. Im looking forward to it.

I understand the rumbling and grumbling that you are talking about. I've had that too. I even asked in another post about the stomach/gut noise. This is a deep hunger growling. The first week I could careless about food and it never crossed my mind to eat. But this is definitely hunger. I'm fighting it but it's getting harder to do. So I'm wondering am I not doing something right. I drink a protein shake for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And water all day long. I'm getting 90g if protein a day. But now I'm not feeling full.

It's not head hunger for me lol. I'm at work staying busy and my stomach is growling 🤦‍♀️ I was doing ok but the last 4 days or so the hunger is getting worse. How many protein shakes did y'all drink in the liquid stage?

I'll be on soft foods before puréed food.

I'm 2 weeks post-op and I was told to walk 30 mins a day and do light weights or resistant bands. I'm walking 2.5 miles in 40 minutes. Slow and study at this point for me.

I've never had hummus. Honestly I don't know what it is or how you eat it lol

I was hoping my taste buds would change after surgery but so far they haven't. 🥺

This is very helpful info. But oh my, creamy peanut butter 😳. I love peanut butter, I could eat it all day long. So this might not be good for me lol.

I like tuna but I'm not a fan of fish. Guess I'll find out if that changes for me soon.

I'm such a picky eater. This stage is going to be hard for me. I wasn't sure if we could have ground turkey at the soft stage. I'm thinking that's around 5 weeks for me.

My soft foods start at 3 weeks. 🥺

I had all the high nerves weeks abs days before surgery. But the morning of my surgery. I wasn't scared or nervous at all. I was completely relaxed.

They ended up keeping me 🤷🏼‍♀️ Not sure why unless it's because of my hernia repair. I would have been ok to go home. Because they really didn't give me any pain meds and my husband helped me in the hospital with everything.

So for those that love to soak in a bathtub. How soon after surgery did you get in the tub for a long soak? It's been 10days and im really wanting to take a bath instead of showing.

I was just curious at what others did. Everyone has different rules. So I was wondering if anyone was told it was ok to bathe early then 2 weeks. But it's looking like my surgeon rule isn't as long as y'all's.

Yes. That's why I ask what others did. My incisions are glued and the glue is slowly coming off. My surgeon said they are healing perfectly. I'm seriously thinking about giving it a try lol

I'm 10 days post op and my stomach is talking to me a lot now. I can't even have veggies or jello yet. Im just soooo hungry lol

Oh wow. My book says 2 week for tub and pool. I was just hoping to cheat on a few day lol. I'm not sure I could go a month. 😳

I was at my first follow up appointment and told my dr about the gas pains still in my shoulders and he told me it wasn't gas pains. He thinks mine is from my hernia repair. So just FYI sometimes it's not gas pains. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ok I'm one post op and I just noticed one of my incisions is bleeding just a tiny little bit. It looked different from the rest. So I touched it with a tissue and there was a tiny bit of blood. Should I be concerned. I have a follow up this week on Thursday. I just didn't want to call the dr and be a worry wart.

Ok thank. I was thinking the same thing. But I want to ask here first.

I do not have bandages or strips over my incisions. They used that glue that's all. It is just blood and I do mean just a tiny bit.
