  1. Cleocat here, I just thought I should tell you a little more about myself. I am female, 45yrs old and married. I live in Melbourne Australia and have two wonderful pet Jack Russells who are my 'children'. I used to teach high school but now I have changed professions and just qualified as a Remedial Massage Therapist- Love It!!!! Some of my many interests are- watching old movies, reading a good thriller or science fiction novel, sitting out in the sun with my dogs and playing with them etc. I guess you could say I haven't been all that active in recent years, but now with my new lap band I am determined to change all that. My doctor wants to get me up to 10,000 steps a day, it seems quite alot when you average 600? However I am determined to try and by my birthday next year I hope to walk in a small marathon just to prove I can do it to myself! I would also like to take up dancing classes, a passion, but never really felt confident enough, perhaps with losing weight it will now happen, you never know? Well I guess thats about all the info. Hear from you soon:redface:

  2. :Banane02::Banane02: Hi Everyone, my name is Cleocat and I have just joined that special group of people known as Bandsters in the last 3 weeks! I live in Melbourne Australia and discovered this site while cruising the net. It looks like a good place to meet others and exchange ideas. Since my lb is new I have many questions to ask, which I am sure you will have the answers. I guess one of the first ones is how long did it take for the incisions to heal? Mine were not stitched outside but inside and I seem to have two particularly difficult ones that will not heal up- especially around the port, is this typical? Also, I am still having some pain associated with the incision sites and wondered if it should have stopped by now. I guess finally I would just like to say that as the only one I know who has had this op, I feel a little lost, with no-one to talk to about it and would really appreciate the 'friendship' of some new Bandsters.
