Hello my friends! (Admin please delete if not allowed) I am in a life coaching training program and am in need of practice clients for my certification. (I am 15 months PO from RNY) For those who aren’t familiar - coaching is not therapy and I do not diagnose or treat any mental illness. Coaching is future-focused strategic facilitation. I had RNY on 8/7 so just finishing day 2 PO. I will not lie, the first day (day of surgery) was rough, I could not have made it through with out having my parents with me. I’m learning quickly that a support system makes all the difference - physically and mentally. Pain isn’t so bad today, I still feel nauseous/bloated/have gas pains and that’s the worst of it. Everyday gets truly gets better! I was a wreck the morning of surgery but I pushed through and am proud of myself for making a hard choice. I’m anticipating regret hitting me soon again (was majorly regretting on surgery day) but I think the key post op is to just focus on taking really good care of yourself, reaching out for help, walking and sipping. Hi!!!! I’m on day 4 of liquids and it gets a little better everyday. That being said I’m still struggling. I’ve been having some strained soups per my surgeons list, and have been picking at a few pieces of chicken/veg. How bad is it that I’m technically cheating? Any other tips to make this better lol? And does it get better post op? I have two more weeks of liquids after surgery (RNY on 8/7)

Hi friends! My bypass date is 8/7! It feels surreal that it’s actually happening after such a long process for insurance approval. Some days I’m really excited and some days I’m terrified. My one week liquid preop diet starts 7/31.

Ok so not my wedding 😆, but I am standing up in my best friends wedding as a bridesmaid 6/7 weeks post op from RNY. (Just got my surgery date today) Part of me wanted to delay the surgery until after, but ultimately didn’t want to pause my life for someone else’s wedding. Will I be ok at the wedding 6/7 weeks PO? Like able to make it through the night and enjoy it? Guess I’m hoping to hear from others who have had big events in the weeks after surgery. (bonus question - should I order the chicken or the steak? Lol!)
