No, I am on a normal diet now. I did try the ricotta bake during pureed, it was too dry for me. I wanted to love it because I love ricotta but I just couldn't get into it.

I keep saying I am, but haven't. I figured, it really can't make it worse though. I will eventually, or if you do let me know what you think.

I am at work and bored. haha Spending my day messing around online. I am salary so I could leave, but the guy who works under me is out sick so if something important came up no one would be here to do it. So, as the dedicated awesome (time wasting) employee I am... here I sit. I never cared for greek yogurt unless it is mixed in something for cooking. Honestly Danimals tubes were always my favorite. I w ould even freeze them for a snack. But now, too much sugar.. booo I ate a lot of refried beans in my pureed stage. Also, egg salad.

I used to LOVE premier before surgery, now they are too thick for me and gross me out. I might try adding milk or something to thin them out and try that.

    Am I eating too much?

Great news, good job and keep up the good work!

I tried a bite of a friends Tilapia and didn't care for it still. It wasn't as "fishy" as I remember but the texture was too watery for me.

ME TOO! Before surgery, I would kind of force myself to eat it but now there is no hesitation. I even eat leftovers for lunch. Before that would be trash.

    Help!

My sense of smell is more sensitive, like things smell very strong. But I don't have an issue with everything smelling repulsive. Maybe a stupid idea but can you like clip your nose with one of those swimming clips so you can't smell while you eat? Just to be able to eat something so you don't end up malnourished. I have heard of it happening and some people say it gets better. I read a post about a woman who literally had a trash can she carried around while cooking for her family because the smell made her vomit. She said there are still some smells that get to her but nothing like the beginning. Good luck, check with your team. They may be able to help!

You are almost there, just a few more days! After surgery you will likely need shakes for a bit to hit your protein goals but there are tons of different brands and flavors to try. Maybe you will find one or 2 that you really like. YOU GOT THIS!

There is also a brand called "bitten" that has an avocado lime dressing that is delicious! They have others too but that is the only one I tried so far. It is 50cals, also very good for sauce for homemade slaw to go on fish tacos. I use mahi mahi because I am not a huge fish person.

Man, that would be the life. (Assuming you get paid for a full time job) Otherwise I would have to sell the jetski to pay the bills. haha

Oh yea, that dressing adds up FAST! I usually use a balsamic vinaigrette, about 60 cals a serving. But sometimes I want the creamy yum too

I used the 2oz cups in the beginning but don't know. I do weigh and measure everything unless I am grabbing something on the go. I do my best to eyeball then which I test myself daily at home and I am VERY good at it. Not perfect enough to do it souly because those .1/.2 ounces will add up. But in a pinch it is good.

I really have no clue what they are. Just plants those, they don't grow flowers. 4 different kinds. It's kind of morbid, we used to call the plants by the name of whoever's funeral they were from. "Mom" "Peg" "Grandma roots" They are actually all from my wifes side and I think I was more disappointed they died than she was. It just became a thing.

HAHA! No, they are plants from funerals of relatives.

We had "funeral" plants for EVER. Like they never died, sometimes not watering them for a month. We planted them in bigger pots multiple times. The last pots started to rusted and leaking on my wood floors. It was a stretch of warm so we put them outside and sure enough, that night it froze and killed them all. Good ol' MD weather for you. 70s to 30s in 5 hours. We had some of these plants for upwards of 10 years! The newest one was even 6 years old.

Yea, rain rain rain! Interesting about the difference in calories. Maybe because it is not perfectly smooth terrain? Even though it may be minimal, your feet and body are still making constant tiny adjustments that you may not even notice.
  20. I don't like the "flashy" ones either. The ones I look at are all very plain.

I have never taken my own temperature. Either my mother as a child, or at a doctor's appointment. I have never even owned a thermometer.

    Vitamin patches

I find creative ways to remember. For example, I have to take a calcium mid day, so I put a little cup on my desk and it sits there all day so I keep seeing it. Then at lunch time I take it. Same with my multi vitamin. I do need to take it with food, so it sits in the little cup and when I am about half way through my breakfast shake I take it. Of course, this is only my M-F routine. The weekends, I carry the little cup around and hope for the best. So far so good though. It is just one of those clear 2oz disposable cups with a lid too. Nothing fancy.

That's awesome!! Great job! I did the same thing, at my very first nutritionist apt (which was in the very beginning of my process, 5 months before surgery) I was given an allowed calorie range to try to stick too. Nothing drastic. Mine was 2000-2200 a day (6ft tall) so I started that day tracking all my foods and just making slightly better decisions. I lost 24 lbs pre-op! I was pumped. Then lost another 12 lbs on my pre-op diet! Been raining a lot here so haven't been able to ride my bike. I haven't really started "working out" yet. It is boring. I want to start boxersize again. It is fun and gives you a hella workout. I just need to DO IT!

Yea, PA is pretty close. Depending on the part. Glad you are digging your new job! That is always a plus. Congrats on making it one onederland, even if just for a day!!! That still means you are super close. I am doing well, happily surprised at my ease of this surgery and the process so far! I seem to be loosing weight quick (my surgeon and nutritionist agree) but I am not trying to get accustomed to it because it will eventually slow down. I just have a lot to loose so it is moving quicker for now. I am for now, just enjoying the ride!
