    Food Before and After Photos

Just use your favorite lasagna recipe and use the wrap for the noodle layer. I used the round pie pan because the wrap fit better. My recipe actually made 2 pie pans but we froze one.

    Food Before and After Photos

GUYS! I did a thing! I used egg white wraps in place of noodles to make lasagna! it was delicious! 8in pie pan cut into 5 piece, 361 cals, 9 carbs, 33g protein!!!

    Full too soon after eating

I have to supplement with 1 protein shake a day too. Even if I eat pure meat I still can't eat enough to hit my protein goals unless I eat like 5-6 times a day and I don't have time for that. I drink a shake for breakfast every morning and then eat 2-3 times a day beyond that.

    Full too soon after eating

The more dense the food the less I can eat. I guess it just sit different in our stomachs? Chicken or pork I can only do 1.5-2oz but like crab or fish, even ground meat (like taco crumble) I can eat 3-4oz. We are just learning as we go!

    Weird feeling..

Do it anyway.. haha... I know I know easier said than done! Try setting a timer to remind you until it becomes habit. I will soon enough!
  8. My plan allows ANYTHING in moderation. Always, getting protein in first. I am a few days shy of 3 months post op. I have had pizza, ordered but just a bite of crust and then ate the topping. I have also bought store crust and made homemade pizza, but still could only eat half of my serving when eating the crust. I also had a couple bites of cake at my God daughters birthday party. My bariatric nutritionist is all about a well balanced diet and treats in moderation. We have to realistic, no one is going to go their entire life without having a treat once in a while. He also has reviewed my diet at both of my follow ups and says I am right on. I have lost 63 LBS since surgery so those 2 bites of cake didn't hurt anything! But I eat all healthy low fat meals 99.5% of the time.

    Weird feeling..

Hello, Your body is adjusting and probably freaking out. Might be dehydrated if you aren't getting in fluids. I had 1 oz cups and I drank one every few minutes and kept a tally. I made sure each day I beat yesterday by at least 1 oz. it really helped push me until I started hitting my goal. Once I was able to drink bigger sips, I graduated to drinking from a cup so I could use ice. I prefer my water ice cold. Still keeping track (I track everything, everyday) Try some Gatorade with protein, or any of the clear protein drinks. They count as fluids and proteins and the protein promotes healing as well as nutrition. I was very lucky, I had a super easy recovery and had no desire to eat so I never went thru the "missing food" stage. I did get a little creative and drained different soups so I could have different flavors. Plain broth was too bland for me. Other people ate the rest of the soup so I wasn't wasting a bunch of food too. I hope you feel better soon, if not call your surgeon.

Eating carbs (pasta, rice, or bread )

I had mine about 2 weeks ago, about 9 weeks post op. I only ate 2 pieces to try it out but I was so happy and it sat fine! I had it again last night. 4pieces! I just make sure I already hit my protein goal because there isn't much protein in the small amount I can eat.

    Multi vitamin

I don't know if you are allowed to swallow capsules yet but I take these, and only 1 per day. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HZ3YQ5X/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_4?smid=A2BW0FNFHPE2GN&psc=1 I have only had my 3 month blood work so far but everything checked out. So I can't say long term yet but they were recommended to me by someone 3 yrs post-op and her blood work is also good. I also take 1 calcium a day.

    Two months

I officially hit 2 months post-op Saturday. Just a few fun shares. I have lost 48 lbs since surgery!!! (84 total) I had to move my the seat up in my truck. My knees do not grind as I walk up steps anymore. My blood pressure is on the LOW side of perfect. All of my clothes are too big, way too big. My shoes are loose/roomier. I am so amazed at how quickly our bodies change. But, what amazes me the most is how we (at least me) don't even notice as it slowly changes for the worse but EVERY SINGLE TINY thing stands out when it is changing for the better. I had 2 cookouts this weekend and it didn't even phase me. At my family cookout, I made avocado salad (avocado, peppers, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, olive oil, lime juice, garlic) I ate this and grilled chicken breast with regular BBQ sauce on it. (Everyone there knew I had bypass, the only question I got was "What can you eat now" I said, anything, my SIL said ok cool. At my friends cookout, I ate 2 deviled eggs and 2 of the tiny party size meatballs. Then I picked some cucumber out of the pasta salad. (No one knew I had bypass, no one questioned my tiny plate of food) I was satisfied at both and had no urge to munch. I have zero complaints, zero regrets.
  13. Fair enough, maybe my choice of wording wasn't the best. Everyone has an opinion.
  14. I am 6ft tall. My surgeon's team did NOT give me a "goal" weight they only made sure my expectations on how much weight I would loose (based on averages) were within reason. Years ago I lost a bunch of weight and was 245 and looked fantastic! Size 10/12 pants, large shirts.( I will have to find an old pic) According to medical charts 6ft woman should weigh 140-177lbs. I am sorry if I offend anyone but that is disgustingly skinny. My brother is 6'2" and weighs about 190 and looks sick and starved. I could never imagine myself under 200, although I would like to see 199 just to say I saw "100's" as an adult. My ultimate long term goal is to maintain 200-225lbs.

    Pee smell like protein?

I think my pee smells like protein too. I am about 9 weeks post op though. It is strange but is what it is.

    2 1/2 yrs. Post op

    Seems suspicious, call your surgeon.
  17. Don't freak out yet, you could be allergic to a specific shell fish like you mentioned. My friend is allergic to oysters, clams and scallops ONLY. She can eat any other seafood.

I love Mexican food and for me is it easy to find healthier options. I have only went once since surgery though.

Call your surgeon, before you end up in the ER dehydrated.

    First fast food since surgery

Also, refried beans or black beans and a side of taco meat from taco bell. That saved me on days running around. And, Chipotle bowl with black beans, chicken, peppers/onions, cheese and pico with spicy tomatillo. It is A LOT though, I get 3 meals from it.
  22. I did not develop a food allergy, although we were warned about it in a class. A lot of people apparently end up lactose intolerant also. I was very worried about becoming lactose intolerant as I love milk and cheese. haha I guess I dodged that bullet. Buuuttt, I seem to have developed seasonal allergies since surgery. No idea if it is a coincidence or what but regardless it hit hard after surgery and I have NEVER been allergic to anything. Apparently pollen gets me now.
