  1. GREAT work!!! Keep it up! I'm glad my pics could inspire. I am so proud of my weight loss. Some times it is hard to see where I came from, but my pics are what help me stay on track.

  2. You look GREAT! How do you feel? My favorite meals go in spurts...right now I enjoy cheese, crackers and lunch meat. I make my own little lunchables! ;)

  6. I lost 13 pounds in the first 2 weeks. Then it has been steady weight loss since then. I follow the process though. I only do 4 oz of food three times a day and I make sure to eat lots of protein. I exercise daily too. It will come. Keep with it! Good luck!

Excercise for Person Over 250 lbs ??

I know when I was over 320 pounds I would do water aerobics. My gym offered it three nights a week. That was a good work out for me. Then two nights out of the week I would walk my neighborhood, just setting little goals while walking (i.e. I will walk to the street light and back) and then add on. GOOD LUCK!
  8. Wow...I was reading your post on the teacher page and I decided to take a look at your information. You are a fellow Arkansan. I spent the first four years of my teaching career in Ft. Smith and my husband is born and raised Springdale! How neat! :) I am a 1st grade teacher...can you tell by the little things that excite me?

Share ideas, What did you eat today ?

With this being my first Thanksgiving with the band I was very impressed with how little I ate, compared to years past. Here was what I consumed yesterday: B: 1 cup of light egg nog (seems to be my norm right now) D/L: 2 small slices of turkey, a couple bites of each: potatoes, stuffing, green beans, sweet potato and fruit salad. S: 2 bites of pumpkin pie. At the dinner table I used my bread/salad plate as my main plate. That way I wouldn't over consume and take too much. It went very well. Hope everyone enjoyed their day. I am going to walk off some of the meal by shopping today!

  16. Hi Healthier and Hap! Thanks for the message! I am in need of ideas. I am growing old with what I am eatting. I have lost 41 pounds so far and loving the band too! I am still learning what to eat. Right now I can't do meat products unless it is fish or soy meat. Everything else hurts on the way down, no matter how small the bite and how much I chew. What is your take on peanut butter? I love peanut butter, but have been to scared to see if it goes down. Thanks for all the great ideas!

    Impressed with CIGNA's coverage!

I have to say now that it has been over a month since my surgery....I am impressed with the coverage that CIGNA gives. We only paid $850 out of pocket for the entire surgery! Very impressive. My husband and I were planning on having to pay more, but it turned out very nice. Just wanted people to know that insurance comes through, even though we might have to wait forever!

    Impressed with CIGNA's coverage!

Sometimes you have to look at the company paying CIGNA to be their insurance provider. I know that I had to throw out the name of my husband's company (who our insurance is under) in order to get things rolling. I am not saying it was a walk in the park. I had to work for it and was ready to get my husband's employer involved if need be. Seems how it is really their money and not CIGNA's. We have always had good results with them....so I am thinking maybe it has to do MORE with my husband's employer, rather than just the insurance company! Welcome to bandland!!! Enjoy the results!
  19. I think we all learn the hard way! That is what it all is....a learning experience. I think we all know deep down not to drink when stuck but we try it because it would seem logical. I know after this last week, that I will NEVER do that again. I hope other follow your advice!
