I had a slight change on my EKG in lead three that was read as a possible Q wave which would indicate an old MI. My doctor does not take any chances. I am like you; I don't want this to delay my surgery. If its any comfort I read a post somewhere on this site about someone having this surgery with history of MI, diabetes and all kinds of health problems. I will be thinking of you on Tuesday. I just want to be healthy and get my life back. Debbie

I will send good energy your way band sister. I have about 130-140 pounds to lose and I am looking at a completely new way of life. I have big appointments on Tuesday and then start my liquid diet on Thursday. Talk to you soon. Debbie

Hi Mary, I go for full instructions on Tuesday and then I go on the liquid diet on Thursday. I read posts in the complications section and it made me more determined to follow the rules, not that the complications were their fault. I just want to reduce my risk. I will be checking in on you after the 6th. Debbie

I think it will be important to receive and give support during this time. Right now I weight 269 pounds and I am 57 years old. I don't want the complications of obesity and diabetes. Hi, I am new and will have surgery on the 14th of August. I was thin until the age of thirty and gained and lost weight many times over the years. I can't lose the weight without help and I am ready. I want my life back and I don't want to suffer with the health problems associated with obesity. It is time. I look forward to meeting others. Debbie:biggrin2:
