Weirdest None-Scale-Victory - I'll go first
omrhsn replied to chiquitatummy's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I was sorting my laundry yesterday and noticed that my (now much smaller and fitting) shirts have no creases on them although I've been wearing them all day to work. Having a smaller belly certainly helps 😂😂. -
Went to see my doctor today....

That is fantastic. You look great. Keep it up! -
Congratulation and you are doing an amazing job. You are definitely better than me in following the post-op diet. I've only lost 50 Kg (110 lbs) or so in seven months (which I still feel awesome about). I didn't start the diet until after the surgery tho. I also don't get hungry but find myself snacking a lot these days specially when I'm at work. I now bring some sliced cucumber / almonds with me to snack on during the day. I usually take two slices of cucumber or two almonds and the urge to eat is gone. Enjoy your upcoming trip and remember to take a lot of photos and try all the rides. Have fun!

Who has done this alone with no support system?
omrhsn replied to 18kDays's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Good luck with your surgery and I hope all goes well with you. I had my brother with me when I had mine and he was a great help. My sister was recovering from hers and we stayed in the same apartment. I stayed in the hospital for two nights and I needed my brother to help me to go to the toilet and walk with me etc. I know the nurses were there but still. He also helped with cleaning the dressing after I was released from the hospital etc. I'm lucky to have a supportive family. My wife was there for me after I flew home (I did mine in Egypt and flew to Malaysia after 10 days). Having someone to support (physically and emotionally) is good but I guess you can do it on your own for sure. Can't you hire a nurse to be there for the first few days? We are here for you! You got this 😃! -

How did you reward yourself for losing weight?
omrhsn replied to omrhsn's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I think it makes sense to do it all in one go and get it over with. This way you don't have to suffer / be in pain three times. I've not reached my goal weight yet so I don't know if I'm gonna need one myself (hopefully not). But I will do it if I have to 😃 -

Trying a new sport is always fun. I'm going to join my colleagues to play badminton which is very popular here in Malaysia. You are doing great! -

January 2022 Surgery Buddies
omrhsn replied to LilaNicole20's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hi January 2022 buddies! I had my MGB on 30 January 2022 and I'm glad I did. I lost close to 50 Kg so far and I've less than one kg to go into the two digit weights. Super excited for that. Like many of you here I had several stalls but I was not bothered by that. I was weighing myself on a daily basis at first but I stopped doing that now. I do it once a week. Super happy of the progress I made so far. Here is a photo collage that shows my progress - from left to right: 2 months before the surgery, 3 months after and yesterday morning. -

The best you can do I guess! Hopefully I won't be needing a tummy tuck but I'll go for it if needed. -

I Want To See Before & After Pics! (Cont'd)
omrhsn replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I finally found some before photos. The first photo was 2 months before the surgery. I was 145+ kg. Second was 3 months after the surgery when my clothes started to get baggy. Last one was taken today. Pants size went from 52" - 44" - 38" -

That is wonderful! I donated my old clothes to a local charity here and bought myself loads of new stuff (some of which needs to be donated again since I'm much smaller now). Your nurse is right. You will fly through sizes (which is awesome). -

I totally understand. Being able to buy clothes from the regular section of the department store and not having to pay extra for large sizes. That feels awesome. A holiday is great too. -

I like that. I got myself a mountain bike after losing 40 kg and as soon as I was confident I could ride one. Good luck with the surgery and achieving your goals. -
