I am writing you, because you are one of the few patients of Dr. Mailapur that had the LapBand. I live in Athens, and realize that you haven't posted in a while. I too am interested in the LapBand and am considering going through Dr. Mailapur. I have read that he attended a workshop about Oct or Nov last year and now is more in favor of the Lapband. I guess I want to know your opinions on the surgery and how your struggle has been since surgery. Are you still losing weight and how much have you lost. I am at 315pounds. I realize I will still have to work hard after surgery,but I am not prepared to have the bypass, it scares me to death to think about the baypass. Please write me at my email--vlmar55@earthlink.net.
