kajun Make sure that your drs office makes sure that there is good detail in everything they send in. My drs office didn't do that and now i'm going to have to fight to get it done. Best of luck.!!!

So sorry to hear of your troubles, I too am fighting BC/BS but of IL....I got declined for same issue, even though I went to my PCP for 6 months and he filled out the form the Surgeons office provided. Seems like it should be illigal for them to discriminate in this way. Good luck. My Drs office if going to add more notes to the forms to see if that will help.

I finished mine just recently, I did 12-1500 cal per day...kept track on the daily plate. I lost 30#. Good luck on your journey

Oh this makes me so excited... I've finished the 6months and I have my psych eval on Friday yes thats tommorow and my Nutrition appt on the 26th..then submittion..i'm praying so hard!! Just Tired

Has anyone had there surgery by Dr. Woodard/Associated General Surgeons? The are in Winfield/Oswego area. I'm going through them will probably have surgery in April 09. Thanks for the info

Sarah, I'm so excited to "meet" you. I too am working with DayOne Health but with Dr. Woodard in Winfield. I am currently working on the required 6 month Physician supervised diet. I am a little concerned because I just found out that my company is looking to change insurance carriers the 1st of the year. I won't be eligible to apply for approval until Feb. 09. So I'm trying not to worry to much and just focus on learning as much as I can about Lapband. It looks like our starting weights are the same. I've lost 11# since starting. Hello, Great to see others from central IL. I am from a small town North of Bloomington/Normal. I plan on being banded in April with Dr. Woodard of DayOne Health in Winfield IL. I also agree..whoever knows how should start a new thread for us to keep in touch with each other. Must be the day..my shoulders/neck are extra sore today. Fatigue well thats everyday. (couldn't be because i work 55 + hours a week) Keep in touch all....keep fighting Just Tired

Thanks for the encouragement, I am in the 1st month of the supervised diet, and it looks like a long road. I know in my head it will go fast, but <sigh> Its going to be a challenge. My pcp will do the 6 month visits and bill for another "code" so it gets covered. My surgeons office suggested that. Just a little fyi. Good luck to all...and keep the faith. God Bless Just Tired
