I need a Dr in AZ

Anyone in Arizona going through CIGNA and know what doctors they approve?
  5. Is this due to risk factors? And can I ask how many pounds you have to lose? I feel like I would be doing awesome to lose 167# but the Ideal Weight Charts say I should lose 182#'s just to hit the MAX weight for my height.
  6. Is there a maximum you can be overweight to qualify for the surgery? I'm seeing some people saying they're losing weight so they can have the surgery and that seems very odd. Anyone in Arizona had or having a LapBand done and if so, where, advice? I've been yo-yo dieting for almost 20 years now. I've tried several WL programs, both medicated and non. Had the most success with WW's but it never stays off and the last few times I lose and gain the same 40#'s 3 or 4 times. I am ready to take harsher measures! One of my sister-in-laws has had the LapBand for 3 or 4 years and is doing REALLY well with it. I think it might be for me too! My mother had her first heart attack at 48 and died at 59. I soooo dont want that to be me. Thanks for reading!
  7. Hi MamaL, Your post caused me to actually register so I could respond. Thanks :smile2: I've been lurking for a few days and hadnt actually registered yet. To answer your question I think it's pretty normal 3-5lbs a day easily due to Fluid and intake throughout the day. As I see some others saying it's not really healthy to weigh yourself several times a day or even daily. Most programs recommend a maximum of once I week I believe. My question to you and to anyone else who reads this is in regards to something else you mention... "getting your weight down so you can have your surgery". What? Is there a MAX that you can be overweight in order to get the surgery? If so, I'm probably in trouble.
