Lap band revision before big weight gain
Snowgator posted a topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Anyone have vsg after lap band removal? I had my band removed 9 months ago and am slowly gaining. BMI 27. Considering Dr. Pompa in Mexico. Any advice welcome! -
Hi, how is everyone doing? I've been off this site for a long time. Need to get back in the swing of things.

Anyone lose over 100 initially then gain back and recover to get back to goal weight? I need a process/schedule/recommendations please!
Snowgator replied to cmackpmp's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
I think you're not failing. You're having delayed success. You still are down from your original weight. You still know all about the tool, and how to use it correctly. I had Dr. K also, in Sept of 08. Find a new bariatric doc who supports you, and your correct use of the tool. Write down everything in a food log. You can do it!! Good luck. -

Sushi after banding??
Snowgator replied to NurseKelly's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First time you try sushi, use a fork, and leave out the black piece of seaweed paper. That's what I always get stuck on. The rest is fine. -

Hi everybody, Wanted to share this great article about eating with the band - wish I had read this a long time ago: http://bariatrictimes.com/2011/09/22/gastric-banding-and-the-fine-art-of-eating/#more-1934 -
Hi Rene, Great to hear from you again. I hope this group gets going - would love to have some dinners or other get togethers at places besides red robin. I've had the band 3 years, and am at goal. LIfe is good, and I"m more active than ever. JOY!

Dan, Julie is right - this is just from the gas they use to inflate your abdomen during surgery. The pain refracts to other places. It will go away in a day or so. Try a heating pad if it bothers you a lot. Looking forward to seeing you on the 21st. -

Hi all, it was fun to see you at Red Robin tonight. Would love to post a picture, but can't figure out how. When you select the Image icon, it asks for a URL. Can anybody tell me how to do this? Thanks! -

The more the merrier! No worries, no need for a firm RSVP. We usually sit on a bench right at the entrance for a few minutes to gather our group together. But do let us know if you decide in advance that you are coming so we get a table with enough seats for any latecomers. -

Dan, Looking forward to meeting you! By then you'll be on Clear liquids still, or maybe some thin Soups. No worries, Red Robin has always been very accomodating to our special menu requests. They can puree some Soup for you, or you can have iced tea or apple juice. See you soon! Try not to worry about the surgery, I saw your post and think we all felt the same way. Trust me, it all works out, and your only wish will be that you had done it years ago. -
