  1. Half-way is awesome, congratulations! Mini, thanks for sharing the photos. Hang in there, this process looks tough, but I"m sure will be worth it. Think I found a new job, pay is not great, but full time with benefits, so thankful for that!
  2. Thanks for posting the picture Dee! I was just looking at our RR photos from 8/09 and 9/09 and wow we all have done great. Julie, are you tracking the next challenge? goal of -5 for me, thanks
  3. Can't wait to hear all about your surgery plans, Dee! My one year bandiversary was Friday. What a long, strange trip it has been. Also on Friday the hospital I work at closed. RN's out there, if you know of job leads please let me know - thanks.
  4. I was so glad to read your post. I thought it was just me. I was having horrible reflux and vomiting daily. Had an upper GI and band was fine, so I got 2 unfills. It was like flipping the eat switch to 'ON' in a big way. I've had one partial refill, but I am still hungry, and failing so much at "dieting". I don't even want to get on the scale. I want to get to the green zone again. Hello to everybody and congrats on doing to great. when is our next RR night?
  5. Hey everybody, Just wanted to say hi. I'm having an upper GI series tomorrow at Aurora North, so please wish me luck. Am throwing up at least once a day lately, so am hoping it is not slipped.
  6. Thanks for your note! Great job on your fast progress.

  7. Hi everybody, sorry to be out of touch for a while, have missed you all. I had a 0.4cc unfill this week and feel better. was having too much GERD in the morning, and vomiting during the day. Am hoping this will do the trick so I can start losing again. Do we have another RR night set up yet?
  8. Dee, please mark me down for -2, thanks! Lotza, I have the same thing!!! I find taking one tums at night just before bed helps a lot, I also bought a wedge shaped pillow to elevate my head a bit. I think what I am learning is that I was a stress eater before the band, and now when I am stressed I feel the acid. It does not bother me nearly as much when I am relaxed about life. I have been doing more liquids, protein drinks, soups, and that makes it easier also. hang in there! Thanks for posting the photos - you all look fantastic!!! Wanted to share a NSV. I bought several, okay FIVE, new swimsuits, and have been canoeing every week in Cherry Creek reservoir. Somthing I NEVER would have done before. I feel like quite the macho Colorado chick with a canoe on top of my car!
  9. thanks for the shopping tip - where is Unique??
  10. Lap, My two cents is that the Silverthorne outlet is not worth the time or money, I have never found great bargains there. If you are into thrift stores, there is a huge one close to Dr. K's office called Savers, and that is worth a visit. Especially since we are all shrinking and not staying in our sizes very long! Can somebody remind me of our next Red Robin date and time? Sorry, I forgot to write it down. Happy weekend everybody. Dee, please put my goal for -5 for the next challenge, thanks.
  11. Julie, Be so proud of losing 72 in a year - that is awesome, more than a pound a week!! go girl! Dee, Count me in for the next challenge. The last one helped me stay on track. I'll shoot for 5 lbs in the 5 weeks, since that time will include vacation for me. Did everybody know Dr. K is in China? Must be awesome.
  12. Put me down for -1, too. Happy Memorial Day, everybody!
  13. Please put me down for +2 this week. Darn, that's what happens when you go on vacation. I'd like to come to RR in June, but would rather not be filmed. Is that okay?
  14. Bella, Put me down for -3 this week. thanks
  15. Julie, Sounds good, my friend Kathy and I will be there, so that makes at least 3 of us. See you there. Anybody else?
  16. Hi Marcy, Welcome! you have made the right choice to go with Dr. K. everything you want to know has already been posted in this thread. Just go back to page one and start reading. He's a great surgeon, and we all have been very satisfied with the outcome. Good luck!
  17. OK, let's try for tomorrow, Monday the 11th at 7:00 pm at Red Robin! Who's in?
  18. I can't do the 12th, but if that date is better for more people, I don't mind missing out.
  19. Gang, Do we have a red robin night for May? How is Monday the 11th for everybody?
  20. No weight change for me this week, but that's okay, a week to maintain is good too. Cheryl, LOVE the wedding photos!! happy anniversary!
  21. Sorry for the delay, I"m down -2 this week. Got to visit Dr. K, as I went with a friend as she went in for a consult. She's now scheduled for June. Mary has left the office, and they have a new tech, I think her name is LuAnne.
  22. Lotza, I am so sorry. dads are so important in our lives hugs to you
  23. I have good news to share..was hopping on the scale this morning, hoping, hoping, hoping to finally get to 199...and it read "198"! I half expected confetti to fall from the ceiling and horns to blow. This is also a milestone for me, since this number changes my BMI from the "obese" to "overweight" category....never been so happy to be overweight!
  24. Deb, So sorry about your news. I hope things go very positively for you and your family. Sending all good wishes.
  25. guys, excuse the intrusion. Need male advice here. have had 2 dates recently with a nice guy my age. Last one was Sat. I would like to ask him to happy hour tomorrow. Is this ok, or do I need to wait for him to ask me out on what would be our 3rd date. (We are both in our 40's) thanks! p.s. not looking for a freebie here, on the last date he paid for dinner, but I paid for a bottle of wine at bar we went to after
