  4. Hello Banders, I need everyone's encouragement...my two year bandiversary is September 3rd, and I am 5 lbs from goal. These last 10 lbs have taken what seems like forever to come off. I am exercising almost every day, just need to fine tune my nutrition a little. Please help me get there!!

  8. Julie, Congrats on getting to the new BMI level..I was also delighted to get to "overweight"! Did red robin night happen this month? Sorry I couldn't make it, that was the day of my daughter's ankle surgery.
  9. Wanted to share a NSV...went bike riding yesterday for the first time in 6 years! I was a little wobbly at first, but really enjoyed myself once I got going.
  10. Thanks, skiing was great! It is nice to be able to enjoy skiiing again after taking a couple years off. Look at the waistline you have, and your jeans are so baggy - you are making great progress.
  11. Try not to be nervous..Dr. K is the best out there at this procedure. You WILL be successful if you want to. The band is not a magic bullet, but the best tool I've ever found.
  12. I can do Red Robin on Tues the 13th - 7pm? Tracy, I use the whole foods brand 365 vanilla protein powder mix for making shakes with skim milk. (then I can add instant coffee or cocoa powder or a banana, or peanut butter). When I want a fruit juice based shake, I use the Natural Factors Whey Factors 100% Natural Whey Protein, unflavored, also from whole foods, and then will add fresh or frozen fruit. I usually have 1 shake a day, for breakfast.
  13. Thanks for the tip Mal, i will check out podrunner. I had an achilles tendon issue, so am scaling back the training to no more than 10% increase per week, but still keeping at it. Hope you can join us at red robin one of these days, would love to see you!

  16. Hello all, Decided I needed some motivation to get the rest of this weight off, so am doing an 8 week walk/run/walk training program, to build up to running 30 minutes. Here's the link if anybody's interested: Beginner Runners - How To Get Started With Running I'm also signed up to do my first 5K on May 1st, the "Cinco De Mayo" run in Highlands Ranch. Does anybody want to join me in this endeavor? You can run/walk the 5k if you like. Please let me know! Thanks!

This whole series of events must have been so stressful for you. Wishing you a better 2010 so you can focus on just you for a while.

  22. Prty, You can do it! 2 lbs a week is a reasonable goal and I'm sure you'll get to goal this year. I want to get to goal by my birthday in July..think i have gotten a little lazy, as it is nice to be in smaller sizes, but I'm still not where I need to be. 2010 is OUR year! :smile2:
