Hi April, I've asked that question too, and have heard that if you have a desk job you CAN go back in 3 days if you need to, but it is suggested that you take off a week if you have the time. Happy Sunday everybody! Here's a question, did you all tell your friends/family about getting the lap band. I'm thinking of only sharing the news with my closest circle of friends. Truth is that I'm a little embarassed that I wasn't able to lose weight with diet and exercise. At work I just signed up for vacation leave, so only the employee health nurse knows what is going on so I can get fmla. Any thoughts on this? Am I being overly sensitive?

Any of the Denver area group feel like getting together for coffee or lunch Sunday 7/27??? Let me know, would love to chat.

I heard that the Realize brand lap band has a port that doesn't stick up as high. Anybody have experience with that one?

Brandy, you CAN do it! you can be down those 5 lbs by Thursday...you have come this far, just keep the goal in mind. Exercise cures the blues, go out and enjoy your Saturday! Hang in there.

Good morning everybody. I'm on my way to the convention center for volunteer training for the Democratic Convention. Should be a crazy crowd. I got brave and got on the scale this morning. OMG an all time high for me, other than when I was pregnant. At least there will be no worries, my BMI is plenty high at 36 now. Dee, thanks for the info. What did you mean by sliming?
