  2. Oh Rachel is a lovely girl! Thank you - great directions! Yes, Dr. K let me pick which one I wanted, so i picked the allergan low profile one Mini, wow, that really does make sense! let me know what your md says Congrats Cassy, you will do great with the band. I can already tell the difference, like my "full" button was broken, and now it works again It's 10/7 at 6:30 p.m. Marcy, thanks for the comliment, really, it's only jello! Just added extra unflavored Gelatin to make it a little firmer for the mold. It sure was a coonversation starter! lol! And major congrats on the leather coat. i have always wanted one like that, but never could find one to fit me - you enjoy being stylish this fall
  3. okey dokey, as promised here the the USA jello mold with candidates stuck in their home states jello.bmp
  4. hi guys, as promised I have a photo of the USA jello mold..how do I insert a photo into a message?
  5. Congrats on picking a great doc, Julie Ann. Dr. K is usually booked out 6 weeks or so in advance. So, you could be banded in late Oct. or early Nov. I'll bet! Welcome to the gang.
  6. Hi gg,

thanks for asking - pain is gone, just a little sore and bruised now. How about you? Thanks for your response to my bandster hell post, LOL...I'm sure life will get easier after our first fills.

  7. Jme, Dr. K's support group meeting is the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 at his office. I'll be there, and would love to meet you!
  8. Ok Brandy, but remember, we want DETAILS! Love your ticker - look at you girl, you are "NORMAL" BMI/weight, OMG I have not been there since junior high. Congratulations!
  9. OMG Marcy that is hysterical! I can just imagine people packing their swim suits and shorts for an Alaskan cruise...serves them right! Sorry, my Jello mold has no Alaska - so guess I'll put Sarah someplace in Oregon....LOL, my cell phone does not have a camera, but I'll try to get somebody to take a photo
  10. oooh you girls are good! like mad magazine snappy comebacks, what do you say when they tell you a fill is between $300 - $800?? CAN'T WAIT to hear the details of your prank phone calls Prty you are so lucky to work there, what a nice facility. I've been thinking more and more about doing pacu nursing - wish those surgery centers were open on weekends Munch, sorry about your mammo scare. I had the same thing, some stupid jelly bean shaped whatever in my breast - had to have mammos every 6 months for 2.5 years, and nothing ever became of it. hang in there. Mini, I am cracking up! Ok, you political gals will love this - I am going to an end of summer bbq tomorrow night, and have a jello mold of the USA...so I'm doing red (sugar free) and blue jello, and am going to find photos of the candidates and VP candidates, and put their heads on toothpicks, and then stick them in certain states...thought it would be a conversation starter for sure! LOL!!! yeppers, so on Friday night in Denver I'm just having a wild time making jello in my kitchen. Tally, i know you wish you could be here for the fun :w00t:
  11. Of course you know it will be so much more fun to come back to Denver!!!
  12. Welcome! Glad to have you here Magaines! Munch, sorry for the parents angst..what a tough situation for everybody! hang in there
  13. congrats! Dr. K has his own thread here under "doctors and hospitals", basically we are his "FAN CLUB"! He is the best and you made a great choice. Good luck
  14. Wear your heavy jewelry and layer it on - turquoise nugget necklace, anything with stones, you get the idea~! good luck!!!
  15. Hey Marcy, You must be superwoman - taking care of 3 kids after surgery? I can't even motivate myself to go to the grocery store. Mal, great to see you again. Eggs were great, and for lunch had 2 small spoons each of tuna salad, canned carrots and applesauce. Yes, a lunch that would delight a toddler! It all went down fine and I am so pleased.
  16. Oh Deb, What a PIA! Sounds like you need a new scale and new batteries, too. The restaurant is north of Dr. K's., so less than 30 min to airport from there. I'll try to come asap after work!
  17. Brandy, I'm glad you are feeling better! I'd still call Dr. K., though just to tell him how you were feeling. Tally, are you ready to go back to work tomorrow? I have no idea how I am going to stay awake all day. I had scrambled eggs for breakfast, yeah!
  18. Sorry Brandy, hang in there - as my Mom says, 'this too shall pass!", thinking of you.... I went to Dr. K's today for my 1 week check. Everything looking good, and he says the fatigue is normal. I'm supposed to progress to a soft diet now, and hopefully increased protein in the form of eggs, cottage cheese, tuna, chicken, etc. will give me some more energy. Hey Denver/Aurora gang: deboregon will be here Tues. 9/23- want to plan to meet for dinner at 5:30 at the Great Atlanta Bread Company, just north of Aurora Mall, in Aurora Town Center? Who's in???
  19. Bookholder, good to see you! The bodybugg sounds neat. Jmegirl, good plan to go 1st class. The good news is that with the walking you'll surely be sleeping the entire flight. Deb, sent you a PM. Green, Dr. K will do the realize band, but there is an extra charge. I think the water aerobics sounds like a lot of fun. Wish I could join you! Mini and Munch, you two are cracking me up this morning! I see Dr. K today for my one week follow up appointment. I am feeling lots better, but glad that I have until off work until Thursday. Still get tired so easily. Think I will go whip up some mashed potatoes - lol !!!
  20. Hi gg,

I really couldn't tell you exactly what the pain was...just PAIN! LOL! Glad the worst is over. Thanks for the encouragement.

  21. Absolutely! Good luck to you.
  22. Hi, thanks for your note! I'm feeling a LOT better today, am just going to take a short walk.

  23. Hi, thanks for your note. I hope your surgery went well!

  24. Deb, I suggested we meet at the Great Atlanta Bread Company which is just north of the Aurora Mall. They have great soups! how about 6pm? Tell us the date again of you fill.
  25. Jme, that is scary about your neighbor. Hope things quiet down soon. Brandy, I walked about 12 minutes to whole foods, about 15 minutes around the store, and 12 minutes home - that wiped me for the day. I ventured out into the yard later in the afternoon for a few minutes. I think it must just be shaking off the anesthesia since everything feels so exhausting. I haven't even needed Tylenol today. Am still doing full liquid diet. Mini, I am very thankful that I don't need to fly anywhere. Tally flew home today, and I can only imagine trekking through several airports feeling like I do. I'm glad I don't have to go back to work until Thursday. I"m not sure if I"m just being a baby, or if it is because Dr. K did a hernia repair also. My follow up appointment with him is on Tues. Thanks everybody for your cheering on. Today was a better day.
