Hello this is my first time at the site. I was banded 04/24/08. I have lost only 11.5 lbs. I went to have my third fill this past week my M.D. had put a total of 2cc and was able to take out 10cc he could not explain were the x-tra fluid came from and to make matters worse he informed me that he was not sure if I had the 10cm lap band /4cc max or the vanguard 11cm with 10cc max. To top off all the confussion he said to me I have in the chart documented a 10cm band but we may have run out and instead used the vanguard. I am so confussed and upset I do not know what to do or think I have not really seen the results I though I would see. I have read that the 10cm band is used more on females versus the vanguard 14cm used for males. After doing soem reserch on the vanguard I have read that it takes up to possibly 10cc to begin to feel restriction. I am so confussed and am wondering if anyone with the vanguard which I may possibly have has had the same issues with weight loss.
