February 2022 Surgery Buddies
1969gemini replied to MeganMyers's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello everyone I had my sleeve procedure on the 17th and all is well. Sore on day of surgery. Went back on Friday for fluids and pain relief via IV. But I really feel good. One incision is a little annoying but otherwise I’m up walking and relaxing. I have no appetite so I’m struggling to get my protein done. -

So I’m not sure why or how. But I did not post a response to this persons thread. I have had to change my password. And reported this to the tech department. So please do not send me responses to that post. I’ve been hacked. Which is a shame. But I do wish you all well!

@WhispersOfAngel! You don’t no me and I am not being condescending! When I said No one, I was speaking about her medical team. I can read and saw the support given. Irony really? I wish you well in your journey. And yes emails, text messages and post. Can all have negative tones, when you don’t know the person. But lesson learned. Be safe and happy weight loss journey

Has no one taken the time to read what she said ?? She only did this because she was told it would help her with the possibility of becoming pregnant. Maybe she wasn’t severely obese. Obviously no one has shared with her that it is normal to have regrets. Maybe she does need a therapist or maybe we as a Bariatric community can be mindful of the tone that comes across in a post. I pray you come to a healthy place.

Hello I’m scheduled for the 17th of this month. And have started my preop diet. I’m both excited and nervous. My surgeon has been readily available to answer my questions. He’s even had all my prescriptions called in and I’ve picked them up. Did anyone else get a prescription to take the night before your procedure? I got aprepitamt this helps to avoid nausea. -

My surgery is also on the 17ht! I’ve ordered my vitamins, sugar free ice pops and protein shakes. I start my 2 week liquid/ modification site in the 2nd. -
Hello! I also have Cigna and my approval was submitted on Monday the 24th of January. Called Cigna and verified they received it and now I wait! The requirements in my particular plan are pretty simple. And I completed all of them. Plus all that my chosen facility required. I have a current procedure date of February 17th. Hopefully approval will be quick. I will post once I am approved.
