I've not really been hungery since 10/27/08 the minute before my surgery. Even when my stomch is growling, I don't feel hungery.

Mine is to the left of my belly button, just above the incision. Yes, the hard lump is probably your port.

I lost weight like them once as well. I lost about 50lbs in 9 weeks--in boot camp for the Navy. What they do in that reality show is not what a normal person can or afford to do. What makes me laugh is that I used to watch the show while eating a bag of cookies!

I had a fill on 11-16 and this was Thanksgiving night. I'm afraid I'd overeaten, but not sure. The pain was 4 or 5 hours later. I was doing nothing when it started I was laying watching a movie. When the movie was over, I sat up and the pain started. It almost felt like it was in the muscle, but when it moved to the stomach, I'm sure it wasn't.

I had no gas pains...I bought the strips, but never had to use them.

I had my surgery on Monday evening (10/27/08) and was back at work the following Monday. I probably could have went back sooner, but was glad to had the time off to be lazy and heal.

Getting banded today at 5:15pm in Tallahassee

My surgery is at 5:15 today. It's been a little over 4 months from the seminar. Everything has been smooth, which is a bit scary. Only saw the doctor for 15 minutes in the entire 4 months. Insurance approval was quick. There was no pre op diet, only not to eat anything after 11pm last night. I feasted. Just wondering if everything has been to easy and the rest will be hell...

Oct 27th and I called the insurance today and found it the surgery has been approved!

I am getting banded on OCT 27

I called my doctor's office today and got a tentative date of Oct 27. Now let's pray they insurance gods approve it!

I saw the nutritionist today and was asked NOTHING. I sat through a 4 hour info session where a dietition told us how our eating habits would change, what the diet will be like after surgery, and to chew our food forever. Then a nurse told us about the surgery and what to expect. The dietition was already writing our letters by the time the nurse started speaking. And as far as I know, it was free. WORKS FOR ME!

Don't feel alone girls. We guys are the same way. It's been 5 or 6 years since the last gf. I am now at the point where people are saying, "don't you want a gf?" Of course I do! How do you admit that you want one, but are not sure that one will want you. So, I just continue the lie of "NO WAY, I don't want anyone holding me back. I want to be able to do what I want when I want. I want to be able to pick up and move at a moment's notice." Hopefully the weight loss will bring me to a point that I can approach girls and put myself out there.

Yes I am using Dr. Crooms. I haven't been approved yet, but heard that BCBS is pretty good about approving...I don't know though. I have everything left to do! Feels like it takes for ever to get things done.
