I am a 32 yr old female, I have been overweight for many years.  I began my journey by encountering a women at my work...I noticed she was loosing weight and made the comment to her "you are beginning to inspire me" she in turn said well "I had the lapband" from that moment I knew this was the right thing for me...I know how to eat...I know how to diet...but...I don't know portion control!  I have a small child and I want to be there for him, enjoy his energy, and actually feel GREAT in pictures with him..because as of right now you won't find many...I am usually behind the camera.  I went to my surgeons seminar and knew I had made the right decision.  After completeing all of my pre-op requirements for my insurance company it only took a week for them to approve...god was that the longest weeke of my life!  I am currently 9 days post op and feeling like I really did make the right choice for me, my son, and my husband.  I am so looking forward to my new life, new clothes, and new ME!!!
