That Great! I have a question for anyone. I went for a fill and the dr took out what I had in my band and then he put it back in. At that time I was at the sweet spot losing weight and feeling good. Since then I am hungry all the time and I am gaining my weight back. Has anyone else experience this?

The big day was today. Everything went very well. I am on liquids for another couple of weeks. I am worried about eating again. What can I except when I start eating food? I know that you have to chew longer and smaller bites, what changes will I feel while eating? I am excited about getting my life back.

Thank you so much for your words of encourgement. I failed to mention that I had vein surgery last year.The doctor alway says "If you lose weight it would help you" I hate going to the doctor I have heard that so much. But I know that I am going to do fine and in a few months I hope to feel 10 yrs younger also. I want to be able to play with my Grandchildren and enjoy life again. Thanks to all who also responded, I feel much better.

Hi IndioGirl55, I am being banded in 2 days. Everything from the time I started to looking into being banded has falling into place. I know that it has to been God's hand. It seems that everytime I started to have doubts he would put someone in my path that day that would encouraging. I suffer from leg pain and I read in one of your post that your felt 10 years younger. I am 49 and really don't care about being a size 10, I just want to be able to walk painfree. Do you know people that have had the lap band that have had issues like mine?

I too understand those deployments. My husband is retired from the Army. I will say a prayer for you and your family. I understand about being scared the surgery mine is 8/29. I am excited and scared.

Yes, neverb4 my friend's band did go back in place. She had to stay in the hospital for 3 days. Thank you for your kind words.

:wink2: Hi Everyone, I have a friend at church who has had the lap Band and her band slipped. I still know that this is a good thing for me to do and God has let everything fall into place. My insurance is going to pay 80% Plus the insurance company allowed me to change my plan in mid stream to the Dr. that I am using. I would of have a lot more out of pocket expense with the other plan. I still have the peace about having the surgery, but do any of you get scared as the date gets closer? Do any of you have any suggestion for the liquid diet. I start mine on Friday. Thanks for listening, God Bless!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi eveyone, That prayer was wonderful...I am being banded on Aug 29th. This week I had to go in for my filter to be put in (scared to death) BUT, God put some great people in my path to give me the peace that ask him for about this surgery. Our God is so awsome!!!!!

Thank you all for responding to my post concerning the scope and filter that I had to under go today. Everything went well, the hardest part was having to lay still for 3 hrs after the filter was put in. I was able to talk to some of the staff at the hospital where I will be having my surgery. It may me feel so much better and I am so excited about starting the journey to feeling better. God bless you all.

Hi everyone I am getting banded on Aug 29th. I am scared and glad at the same time. I am going to have a type of filter put in on Tuesday due to having vein disease. He also is requiring me to have my throat scoped. Now that the time is getting closer, I am starting to doubt my decision. I would love to hear from some of you that are banded and how you feel about your decision now. Thanks for listening.

Hi Everyone, I have been approved for the lap band. I have to still do some test before surgery. Has anyone had to have a scope or a filter before surgery? I was okay with everything until they mentioned having to have a filter put in. I have varicose veins and have the surgery where they strip them and my legs swell. I am hoping when I lose weight this condition will go with the pounds.
