Sherry, Thanks for the info. I would have had the RNY at a military hospital but they do not do lapband. Just checked on line and it says approved with a referral number and a doctor to contact for appt. Is it possible that it was approved so fast? Hope to be joining you in August with the lapband. I am going to call the doctor tomorrow to make appt. Maggie:thumbup:

My referral was just put in yesterday. How long does it take from Tricare to approve or disapprove. And to get your date with the doctor. I have already done all tests and have sleep apnea to a slight degree. Any info would be great. Maggie:rolleyes2:

Hello everybody, I am new here. I was first going to have the Gastric Bypass but have since changed my mind (to invasive for me). I have taken all the post ops tests for the bypass. Everything looked good. I do have sleep apnea to a slight degree. I guess this question is for anybody that has went thru Tricare. How long after your referral was put in, did it take for Tricare to approve/disapprove. And if approved how long is the process from first surgeon visit till your banded? Sounds like there is a lot of success stories on here and I would love to be one. Any help in this process would be great. Maggie:rolleyes2:
