Hey Debbie-- I'm on the 22nd...not the 29th...and just started my liquids two days ago. The first day I was VERY hungry and depressed. Day two was better. Today is day 3 and I've lost 6 lbs already! My doctor allows a couple servings a day of raw veggies and fruit so I relish those moments of chewing! :smile: I'm trying to keep track on fitday.com to be sure I get all my nutrients in and take a Vitamin each day. I'm trying to think of this as an adventure. Even though I'm only on the pre-op diet, I'm eating differently than normal (obviously). I just bought a Magic Bullet blender and LOVE reading the recipes in the booket that comes with it. I am SO ready to try out some new things on my poor family! lol It is all SO worth it...YOU are worth it! Hugs, Anne

Just wondering if any of you have tried fitday.com? I used to use it and put in my latest data yesterday. It has some new neat features like keeping track of your moods along with food/weight, etc... Happy Thursday! Six more days for me! ~~anne

wvgal33--my gallbladder is already out but they DID look for it when they did my barium swallow. I think they want to know what is where for when they do the surgery. ~~anne

How cute! Thanks for sharing Rhonda! Lorilei--how COOL to have your DIL on board with you! I wish I had someone. I'm still hoping my dh will either have the surgery or change his eating/exercise habits. I'm getting my popsicles (SF) and no sugar added fudgesicles at Aldi's (if you have one in your area you should try it out) for MUCH less than I can find them at Kroger and they taste better! My dh loves them too and saves me the cherry pops! :wink2: Is anyone using fitday.com? I've used it before to track my measurements and weight but they've added new features such as journaling and a "mood" indicator. You should check it out! Happy Thursday! I tried the unflavored unjury today. It wasn't bad. I ate it with two cups of SF choc bliss pudding and that gave me 200 calories, 6g fiber, and 24g protein. I'm going to try the chicken soup unjury later. I'm excited! Less than a month!

Well, tonight is IT! My last non-diet dinner where I will overeat as usual :eek:. I grilled hamburgers/veggies last night and made a chicken pot pie tonight (and a veggie one for my vegetarian dd). For lunch today, I went to my last Chinese buffet trip (why go to one and pay so much if I'm not eating much later???). Tomorrow, I see the surgeon for a pre-op appointment and start my pre-op diet. I'm as ready as I can be! I have some EAS protein drinks, broth, SF popsicles and fudgesicles, diet "flavored" green tea, and SF pudding and jello. I also have Benefiber at the recommendation of the dietician (I tried it today...can't taste it). Oh, and they suggest Tums (for calcium) and a daily vitamin which I'm adding to my pillbox. It's sad to be 40 and already have TWO pillboxes...one for morning, one for evening. Sigh. I'm ready to get this party started!

I love reading about your stories! I'm getting so excited! One thing that concerns me, the surgeons I'm using only prescribe an anti-inflammatory for post op pain and/or liquid tylenol. I hope that takes care of it for me!!!!! ~anne

CyndiG--that's a neat calculator! It said 163 is a good weight for me...I would agree that would be great to get to! Monkeyband--I'm sorry you feel sad. I'm sure that's normal and that it will get better as you lose. Just an FYI--gaining after surgery isn't abnormal as they give you so many fluids that you will eventually lose. If your sadness doesn't go away soon or increases, you should let your doctor know. Oregonirish55--what's your date? I would like to add you to our list! ~~anne
