I purchased some samples to try and then you can get larger quantities. The chicken soup was pretty good--tasted like those chicken broth packets and had 21g of protein and 90 calories!

Only 25 days until my new life! I had a huge MD's office scale and it did NOT fit in our small bathrooms. I prefer to weigh first thing in the morning in the buff, so I knew I needed to find a scale that "fit" our needs! I did some online research and ended up with a Weight Watcher's scale made by Conair. So far, I'm pleased. Each time I've weighed I have got on and off a few times and it ALWAYS weighs the same (down to the 1/10th of a pound). Yay! My job IS changing in some way and I'm not happy. More hours/same pay. Tuesday I have a meeting to discuss it. I hate to think about having to change jobs at this time in my life. :thumbup:

Hi-- Thanks for all your great suggestions! So far, I have: scheduled time off work started sampling sources of Protein including drinks spent time reading online threads purchased a new scale that is accurate! sorted out my closet/drawers by size in to totes purchased a "Wii Fit" and "Walk Away the Pounds" DVD picked out my loose clothes for surgery day purchased Gas-X strips, chewable Vitamins, liquid tylenol switched my prevacid presciption to a chewable What I NEED to do (that I know now): stock up on protein drinks/liquids/mushies switch over my anti-depressant as I know it is too big (I'm praying my voltarin is a size I can take!) practice eating differently start my high protein/low carb diet eliminate alcohol and soft drinks do my measurements/weigh in/pic Hmmm...that's all I can think of now. Enjoy your day!

Great statement! You know, my husband said not long ago that I am prettier now than when we got married (23 years ago). After looking at some old photos, I agree! I'm going to try to keep that in mind as I work to create a HEALTHIER body created in the image of God!

Honestly, there are still triggers but it's a momentary feeling of sadness and then it's gone...not like before. When it happens, I try to switch my thoughts to something wonderful he has done lately or a fun experience we've had together as quickly as possible and not dwell on it. Like you, I would NEVER have thought it would happen...but yet it went on under my nose for almost two years. The fact that *she* moved is huge and I would probably consider allowing him to do what he offered and change phone numbers...or at least have caller ID and not answer unknown callers. I would be careful with the xanax (from my own experience). It seems like it's easy to get addicted to. Try an anti-depressant and then use the xanax during truly difficult times like when you have a panic attack. Just my thoughts..talk to your doctor. Hugs, Anne

Well, I was going to "rant" about people posting about politics as it seems to me this board should be one of support as opposed to arguing and attacks...but I see that at least one of the posts I kept seeing while perusing "new posts" is actually IN the off-topic area so I guess I really can't complain! lol For what it's worth, I feel I'm very involved personally in politics but that this isn't the forum to discuss it. OK--I tried the unjury chicken Soup and had no issues with it. It tastes like chicken broth you would get in a packet. The only thing that was a tad annoying was that it cannot be mixed with Water that is over 130 degrees so I had to use a thermometer and wait for it to cool down a bit! A friend of mine "swings" regularly and is very happy with it. I KNOW it's not for me...but it works for her and her husband. Anyway, she told me she is involved with a yahoo group so you might search through there if you are really interested. In my mind, while your wife may be talking about it, it could just be to please you. I could see how I may have said/done about anything early in my marriage to please my husband whether they were healthy or not. Now there are definite limits! lol

Hi-- I'm new to this board but just went back and read all of your thread. Can I just say that I've been there? And survived? Along with my four kids? :thumbup: So many things you said hit home with me from my own experience...especially that he was totally committed to being honest and available at all times and admitting when he made a mistake. If my dh hadn't done that, it would never have worked. A good marriage counselor is a must IMO...but it also takes 110% commitment from both people. Have you heard about the new movie "Fireproof"? I read a synopsis and it sounds like it could be very encouraging and strengthening for marriages. Just so you know...it's been over 10 years for me and we have a much more communicative and loving marriage than we had before (not that I would wish it on anyone!!). Hugs, Anne

Yay! Congrats on having your parents support. I've told my stepmom because she had first told me about a co-worker who had he surgery...and I know that, if my Dad were alive, he would support anything that would help me to live a healthier lifestyle. I actually think he would be proud of me for making the decision. It's all good!
