First day of soft food
liveaboard15 replied to Happy Stylist's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
lol we are all different. Tuna was my first meal on soft foods and it was awesome. No issues at all. I just make sure to chew very well. at least 20-30 times each bite. -
First day of soft food
liveaboard15 replied to Happy Stylist's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
so i can only eat about 3-4 oz each time. at first it took me almost an hour to finish one pouch of tuna. Now 4 weeks out takes me about 20-30 minutes. I just take small bites, chew chew chew and wait a few minutes before taking another. I currently eat quail eggs instead of chicken eggs. they are smaller. Chicken egg takes me a while to eat and is basically 2 meals. I typically cook a small amount of turkey sausage, onions and 2 quail eggs. (which is what i am currently eating right now lol) (this pic was my meal from yesterday). This will take me about 45 minutes or so which sucks because it gets cold -
ive seen people on here say they got pregnant just weeks after surgery. you may be able to find those post if you type in pregnant in the search bar of the forum

Illness shortly after surgery
liveaboard15 replied to copley95's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
it depends. As long as you are not vomitting super hard it should be somewhat ok. I vomitted alot in the hospital. the first few times i had a little blood in it but the others were just clear. as for diarrhea. the main issue with that is causing dehydration. so you need to stay hydrated. maybe give your surgeons office a call and let them know and see what they recommend. -
I havent checked walmart yet. i have not gone down the bread isle since i had my surgery lol. I miss walmart being open 24/7. too many people during the day lol

dang lol. So where i got my surgery you h ave to get a covid test 4 days prior at your pre anesthesia appointment. But because i had covid about a month and a half prior i was not required to since you get test positive for up to 3 months after. When i got the hospital for my surgery, IV put in, Medications given a nurse comes in and ask "Did you get your covid test" and i was like no. She was like we cant do the surgery. I was like BULLSHIZZZZ... and showed her my positive test from February and then she chilled and left lmao.

a little odd but you are inflamed in the stomach right now. So that could be it. I didnt have this issue with my sleeve. They prescribed a different acid reflux medication for a month. But i found pain medication did nothing for me after surgery. usually the gas causes people the most problem in their chest but could be down there. but yea you need to keep getting your fluids and protein in as best way as possible. just take a sip and wait, sip and wait, sip and wait.

Its actually pretty good. I just had a slice with some tuna salad. Not bad at all. Nice to have bread again. Tho i will limit myself to one slice.

Changes in attraction levels from spouse after gastric sleeve surgery
liveaboard15 replied to Love&Light's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I mean we all have things that attract us to someone and stuff that does not attract us. Would you expect someone who really isnt attracted to their significant other to fake it? 3 years tho is a long time to not really show any intimate affection. i would be having a discussion probably within the first few months. me personally i know what i am attracted to and what i am not attracted to. and i have been told by a girlfriend before that they are not attracted to me anymore due to my weight gain. but the good thing is they told me. but still the original poster its a bit messed up for being married that long and only now showing interest when you are loosing some weight. -
Mixing protein in water or other?
liveaboard15 replied to mrsjo's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
from the two weeks of my pre op diet. I found the powder stuff you have to mix to be horrible. no matter which. The premade ones were best -
I only had compression devices at the hospital. But i did buy a calf massager a week ago and the thing is awesome

see if they can do virtual visits... My nutritionist appointment was thru zoom.

i dont really know lol. I think its stored in the freezer at stores because people are not buying this bread as often as regular bread so it would probably just go bad quick sitting on regular shelves.
-
The grocery store i go to is called Publix. It was in the freezer section. There were probably like 5 different brands of this type of low carb bread. other one i remember seeing had a bunch of religious bible verses on them as their brand. I tried searching for one called daves killer bread because i have heard good things of that one but i did not find it

Just tried it making some scrambled eggs, onions, spinach. Its ok. Not as flavorful as olive oil. But 0 calories for the spray vs over 100 in the olive oil.
-
Fairlife shakes are awesome. I love the chocolate ones. I also love Premier Protein. They have so many flavors. The chocolate is my favorite and recently i started drinking the cafe latte flavor (that one has caffeine)
-
its just a teaspoon of olive oil i use in there which is technically a healthy fat. But i have had no issues so far.
-
yea probably. What thing i love doing tho is riding my jetski and picking up all the trash in the river. idk why but i found that fun. I would fill my storage of my jetski with trash. Most common item i found was balloons and plastic water bottles.

Pretty much. last time i was there it was whenever i woke up til around 4-5pm.
-
Well apparently talking about it set things off because i got a notification of a decent amount of work next week... LMAO hahaha.

Marijuana Use and Nausea
liveaboard15 replied to stewy56's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have seen some on here post that edibles hit different and a lot stronger after bariatric surgery. But there are other products to try. Maybe try Tinctures? I have not tried marijuana since having my surgery. Also maybe try a ratio product. Like 1:1 THC:CBD. Those were awesome before surgery and did not give me the super high or nausea. -
Interesting. I am almost at week 4 and the only taste change i have had is certain drinks i dont like anymore.
-
has this been going on since surgery or is this something new?

LOL yea i get paid the same regardless. It was great at first but its seriously boring. I have thought about maybe in a year or 2 moving back to Puerto Rico (That i where my job is based at) to actually work at the business which was fun the last time i lived there. Plus i would get paid more and they pay for my house. I just hate the crime over there. its why i left in the first place.
