Ditto on the Perfect Fit jeans at LB. They are like some of the only jeans that I wear that don't stick out in the back. I have a big butt so I wear the Blue Perfect Fit Jeans. Ashley Stewart Jeans are pretty cool too. They are reasonably priced and they fit well too.

I actually started my 2 week pre-op diet today. I am able to eat 1-2 healthy meals which can include any lean meats, and all the vegetables I want besides potatoes and carrots. I have to drink at least two 10oz servings of the Myocel Protein shake (OMG that mess is nasty:eek:) And they want me to drink a lot of Water...I mix Crystal Light with mine. I can't have any sugar, carbs, carbonated drinks, fried foods, any fats like butter and so forth. So far today this is what I had: -10oz vanilla Myocel shake...EWW!!! -20oz of water with grape crystal light -Big salad with just lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, and purple cabbage for lunch -10oz vanilla Myocel shake again...Double EWW!!! -20oz of water with raspberry lemonade crystal light. -10oz water -cheese stick for a snack -Grill chicken with broccoli for dinner But ohh I'm craving a taco from Taco Bell:drool:

Good Evening Ladies! My name is Kalika I'm 24 years old, currently single with no kids. I live in Dallas, TX on the north side. I'm a Computer Applications Admin for a restaurant company here in Dallas. I graduated from Howard University in 2006 (Awww HU!!!) I have a cocker spaniel named Sandy I'm kinda reserved until I get to know people better. I have a cool laid back type of personality and I'm also goofy. I'm very glad to have found this group and I wish all of you ladies the best of luck on your journey. -
I also had to do the 6 months weight loss program for my insurance company. It did go by fast. But we do have it pretty good because I heard that some insurance companies make people wait a year.

Hi All!! I'm getting banded on Aug. 11th. I'm so excited. It's been a long journey for me, I started this process last year. I probably could have had the surgery earlier, but who would have though it would have been so hard to get my medical records from the last 5 years.:smile2: I'm from Dallas, TX but my insurance company wants me to go to Decatur, TX for the surgery (An hour away from Dallas). I have my pre-op appointment on the 8th of Aug. I will be banded by either Dr. Benavides or Dr. Felts. Good Luck to everyone this month!!!

sweetpea0202 replied to Tracyde730's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery date is Aug. 11th!! I start my pre-op next week. I wish everybody the best of luck! -
Thanks you all for your words of encouragement and helpful information!! I really appreciate it all. I am going to be on the liquid protein diet with 1-2 healthy meals a day also for 2 weeks. I also have an office job and have the option to work from home if I can't make it in the office. I'm taking the 8th - 14th off from work, I didn't take that Friday off but if I feel as though I couldn't make it through the day at work, I may decided to work from home. Hopefully I won't be too sore.

Hello! I searching on the web and found this site and I'm glad that i did. I'm from Dallas, TX and having been on a long journey with my lapband process.(I started last yr in Aug) I'm getting banded on August 11th and I'm excited and scared at the same time. I start my pre-op diet on the 28th of this month and hopefully that will be a smooth ride. I open to any suggestions for pre-op and post-op diets. How long did most stay off work? Did anyone stay over night at the hosipital?

What was the straw that broke the camel's back for you?
sweetpea0202 replied to southerngirl24's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think the straw(s) that broke the camel's back for me was that I would lose like 10 pounds and then gain back 15. That process went on so long that I went to the doctor to make sure that I didn't have a thyroid problem. Fortunately I don't have a thyroid problem. I've been overweight the majority of my life but i think it really hit me when my size 22 pants started getting tight.
