Hey we're band sisters...lol I was banded on Aug 11th also. today is the first day I feel "normal"

Hi All!! I had my surgery on Monday and everything went fine. I went into prep around 11:45a, and some on the last things I remember was the anesthesiologist putting the feel good meds in my IV and them telling me to move over to the operating table. The next thing I know I was in recovery. Right now I’m dealing with gas and back pains. I'm so proud of myself today..i ate 3.5oz of baby food!!!!:tongue_smilie: Again..thank you for the prayers and support!! I appreciate it all.

I'm sorry that you are going through soo much trouble with AIGB. I've worked with them through my whole process and have never had any issues. I would most definitely ask to speak to a manager there to get your issues resolved.

Hi Ladies, Well tomorrow is the big day. I'm scheduled to be at the hospital at 9:30a and my surgery will start at 11:30a. I'm actually not as nervous as I was before; I’m just anxious and excited to get the procedure done. I went to my pre-op appointment Friday and there are six other people that are having surgery the same day with Dr. Benavides, I guess we are all back to back from each other. Well wish me luck and thanks for the support ya'll have gave me so far, I'll follow up with you guys afterward.

Hi All!! The Surgery went fine yesterday. First of all they had us go to the boonies to have the surgery; it was about an hour away from Dallas. This was the only hospital that Dr. Benavides could bring his own staff around the Dallas area. The next thing I know I was in recovery. Right now I’m dealing with bad gas pains, but I know it will pass. Really the only discomfort I feel from the surgery is where the port is. First and foremost, I'm doing it to be healthier. I would like to be at my ideal size before I have kids (I have plenty of time for that cuz I'm not in a serious relationship and I'm waiting till my 30's to have kids) Then also I would love to wear the "cute" clothes also. Don't get me wrong, I'm going to miss Lane Bryant, but I would love to shop at stores like The Limited and Forever 21. Also to wear stilettos and not feel like I'm bout to break the heel..lol I've never really been able to cross my legs, so that's something to look forward to And I want to be SEXIER than I already am.

Hi all, I was wondering if anybody else has used or is using this mix. If so, does anybody have any good recipes that can mask the horrible taste? I've found that blending up strawberries or just mixing a little cinnamon with it masks the flavor somewhat but I’m open to other ideas. Also is it just me or does this mix make you feel bloated and having you goinng to the bathroom. I'm going on my second week of my pre-op diet and today I felt soo weak. I'm wondering if this is from eliminating the carbs from my diet. (or it could be the 104 heat we have here in Dallas) Has any one else felt this way during their pre-op diet?
