Ok this is so against the law. I am a medical biller and this is HIPAA violation and the Dr. can get a very large fine if reported. See below
HIPAA, which stands for the American Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, is a set of rules to be followed by doctors, hospitals and other health care providers. HIPAA took effect on April 14, 2006. HIPAA helps ensure that all medical records, medical billing, and patient accounts meet certain consistent standards with regard to documentation, handling and privacy.
In addition, HIPAA requires that all patients be able access their own medical records, correct errors or omissions, and be informed how personal information is shared used. Other provisions involve notification of privacy procedures to the patient. HIPAA provisions that have led in many cases to extensive overhauling with regard to medical records and billing systems.

Hi Everyone!
My name is Bree and I was banded May 2008, I am a 33 year old lesbian and I have the most wonderful partner for the last 2 years. we live in Houston and I am loving my band, just trying to remember to be patient. I have had 2 fills and just bought a treadmill so I am ready for a new me.

You should let your friend know that Lap-Band is not a instant weight loss program. It is a tool to help you and is hard work. Nothing you get from the Band is just handed to you. I don't think your friend is being a good friend at all. Also to treat you like that is not what God's teachings taught her. She is being a hypocrite. Stay strong and ask God to forgive her.

It means that you have your band filled to the best spot for you to lose the most weight.

Mine pain was very minor, the thing that hurt the worst to me was the gas that settles in your shoulder that part really was uncomfortable. My down time was also short, really it because of the internal stiches that you have the down time because I could have done a lot more but I did not want to hurt anything internal that I could not see. I am sure you will do great. Be sure to relax and try not to focus on what pain you might have it always seems worse in our minds. Good luck!

I so know what you mean. I also have not lost but 5 pounds since my first fill and I feel guilty that I can eat more than I think I should be able to. I have my next fill on 07/29 so I am hoping that things will change.

Hi my name is Bree, I had my surgery on May 24th, I have lost 29 pounds and have had one fill. I lost 24 of my 29 pounds before the surgery. I feel like I can still eat to much. Anyone else out there feel that way, is it not tight enough?
Need a little support....

Hi Jessica my name is Bree and we had our surgery on the same day and I have to say that you have lost so much weight and you are doing great. I have not lost nearly as much as you have. You need to remember that from now on it is going to get harder the closer you get to you goal weight. I also have only lost a few pounds in the last couple of months and I am getting frustrated myself but you are doing great keep it up.
