Yes 10 days before, Liquid broth, juice, jello for the first 5 days, then I could add Milk, Pudding, Ice Cream & Strained soup. It was so nice when I could add MILK!!! YUM...I get banded tomorrow! I can't wait to get on this journey. Good Luck to anyone else being banded tomorrow or beyond!

Hi, I have 11 Tats and I think another one is a great idea when you reach your goal!! I suggest a dragonfly with the surgery date somehow. Dragonflies stand for Change! Good luck getting to your goal.

I am getting banded on the the 25th too!!! I am excited and nervous too. I have read a lot of these boards and it looks like all dr's have different pre op diets. I am sure you will be ok. I have been on liquids since the 15th and I have lost 8 lbs!! I am excited because I am on my way! Good luck on your surgery

Hi, We asked our HR the same question and got the same answer. So we called the Insurance company itself and they do cover the surgery, but the employer has to opt into that part of the plan. Which our company was unwilling to do. SO instead I am going to Mexico where it's almost 1/2 the cost. Getting banded Monday Aug 25!!!! My friend just did 10 days ago at the same place and said it was clean professional etc... Good luck!

Hi Vanessa, I am going to Mexico on Monday 8/25 to be banded. Trust you me I have done A LOT of research and it is very safe and acutally alot of the dr's are trained in the US. I was weary at first thinking it's going to be rusty needles & dirt floors but that so isn't the case. My friend just got back from being Banded a week ago and said the clinic she had hers done in was clean and the staff was professional and very nice. She is doing great! I know you want the support of your friends and family but sometimes it's not worth trying to convience them that this is the BEST plan for you. Let them think what they want because they haven't done as much research as you so they are speaking without knowledge. Just be sure to YOUR homework. You can check out Bariatric Surgeon Profile - Jose Rodriguez and print that out to show your friends & family some cold hard facts. I have a couple of friends and family who don't think I should do this either, so I just don't talk to them about it. Good luck!! Carramia

Hi, I had lost weight a couple of years ago and got to 175 and I am 5'10" and I was comfortably in a 12 but I could wear some size 10's...Congrats on your wieght loss. I am getting banding on Aug 25th and I hope this time I get back to my goal weight and stay there. Thanks!
