Hi! I am Lindsey. I am 30 and a SAHM. I have been married for 3 years to my DH and we have a 6 month old baby girl... I cannot wait to be cute again! And I totally get the seat belt on the airplane thing... I fly home for Christmas and I want to be comfy on the plane ride home. I want to wear normal clothes, and I don't want to fell embarrassed to leave my house like I do now... I want to be a better wife and mother, and I want to be a better ME!!! I was supposed to have my consult with the doctor this Friday, this was also the date to schedule my surgery.... And he CANCELLED!!! And now I have to wait until the 8th! I was so looking forward to this, I am so sick of being fat!!! I know it is only a week... but I was so excited about this appointment!!! *SIGH* Thanks for listening!

Hi Everyone! I just found out I have HYPOTHYROIDISM today! I have my first appointment with the surgeon a week from tomorrow. I am self-paying but I am wondering if the condition will make my insurance pay for the lap band instead. But reading your posts, I am scared I will be denied! I am picking up my medication for the hypothyroidism tomorrow. Any advice or words or encouragement that I will still be allowed to have the lap band??

Hi Everyone, I just attended my lap band meeting and have been contacted by the financial office that my insurance will not cover the procedure unless I prove I have had a BMI of over 40 for the past 2 years. I have not, always been heavy, but not over 40 BMI for two years at a time. So... going to do it without insurance covering it. What do you think? Totally worth it in my opinion. My health is worth the money... Anyone else going to do this paying on their own?? Anything else I need to know for those of you who have gone through this? I am so excited to re-start my life, and finally have some CONTROL....
