I was wondering when we would get on the topic of the drink of choice! We should all have clear liquids in honor of your upcoming surgery!
-
They have to bench press their weight plus 20lbs, squat their weight plus 50lbs and complete an agility course in a given time. They have to do 10 of each for the bench and squats and he did 9.5 and just couldn't get the full press! He has worked so hard this last spring to get ready for this. He is not necessarily a natural athlete, but he will outwork the rest of the team 3 to 1. The coaches told him that they were impressed by his improvement from last summer and just from the work he has done in spring and summer lifting. He is my "Iron Bear"!

I tried the push ups, they were too painful. What if I go swimming with open sores from my surgery - would that be okay?
-
Will somebody respond???
-
Is anybody going to respond? You people are just mean! I posted and if I am not in your clique you won't help me! I am never going to post here again.
-
I just got my band yesterday and I am wondering what kind of exercise I can do?
-
is anybody here that can help me?

I am right there with you. I always give the benefit of the doubt and I want to believe that people will always do the right thing! It took a few hours, but I was good for the rest of the day! Sounds like the IL moving is a good thing! [quote name=luluc;1306627* ebony - hope you find some fab 14 shorts. there are some GREAT sales going on' date=' i hit dillards yesterday real quick - and to buy off the rack not try on and pay nothing was the biggest NSV so far. Macy's this Sat. I am there! * KC, again i would like to thank you for the doggie treats. i have been spoiling the dogs w/them & DH even tried one today; he said you can cook for him anytime. I keep hearing about the doggie treats and I want the recipe! KC are given it out or are you getting ready to go into the doggie treat biz? I think that is the question that we all asked, or are asking. I found mine when I decided to quit looking - weird how that happens! You are smokin hot in that dress! Love it! PJTP: Migraine went away and I had a great day! Wasn't so sure about the hair at first, but it is growing on me. It was super hot today (102) so DH and I went up in the mountains to run. We went up to Broken Top, about 6500ft, and it was a lovely 72 and we had a beautiful run! I am going to have to purchase a small camera that will fit in my handheld water bottle case. It was amazing! I love running across streams, too fun! DS had his "Iron Bear" test today and missed getting the honor by one bench press! He was so excited to go into football tonight and has been working really hard to get the title, but it wasn't happening! He felt bad, but it was super hot and only a few Seniors made the list this year. He wanted to be the second sophomore to ever get it:sad: He is over it and ready for his first game that comes up in 2 weeks. Looks like he will be starting on JV and he is pretty excited about that! Hopefully it will cool off tomorrow - I am going to ride my horse! Yeah! I will let you know how it goes. (crossing fingers and praying) Should head to bed - have to run first thing in the morning!
-
Slim~ Looks like you are getting in a little more solid food today. That is good!
-
Love the food porn - however, I just can't make it happen. Kind of like art for me - the concept is great in my mind, but my hands don't seem to create it.
-
That is absolutely ridiculous! Are they serious! I would be down there and in their face so fast they would still be on the phone with me! I hope you can get this worked out!!! Slim~ Hopefully she will be back soon. Sorry that you don't have an early morning buddy! PJTP: Woke up with a lovely migraine this morning! Not a great way to start the day. I have my workout class this afternoon, so hoping it will be cleared up and I will be ready to go! On a positive note: I get my hair done today. Excited to get rid of the lovely "blonde" streaks! Don't know how I will get it cut, so I will be browsing books while the color goes on. Taking DD with, she needs a trim, but she gives good guidance on styles! Hope you all have a great day!

Ok - I am over it!!!

I think that it is really a personal choice and also something you should discuss with the surgeon. You will always find people that love or hate the proceedure that they had. There will also be those that fail or succeed. So it comes down to what you would like to have done. There are many options and I would research all of them thoroughly before coming to a decision. Many times your surgeon will make a suggestion based on your profile and needs, many times they will let you decide what is best for you.

Frustrated w/ myself!!!! Support......please
krtork replied to heidib's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
All great suggestions. I would also add that you might want to see a psychologist that deals with eating issues. From reading your post, that could be something that helps you deal with the food issues you have going on and will help you get back on track. Best of luck! -
What do you do for exercises?
krtork replied to Erin18's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Right now you are healing. Don't worry about the weight loss it will come. The first month or two is always a little up and down. Just give your body time to adjust! WTG on the exercise! Love the C25K - best thing I ever did. -
[quote name=*slim*;1305811 So did my laundry! What's up with that? It is Wednesday. Thank goodness! Since you have been doing stuff' date=' do you think you could add my to-do list to yours? I do laundry on Wed and Sat. If I don't do it twice a week it would consume me!!! Sure, send over your list, I will just fit everything in as I drive around!:w00t: [quote name=luluc;1305883* OK' date=' doing laundry - not happy ... but top chef is on tonight * KC decided to pull a bobbly flay and create a food challenge w/me - it's ON! thought i'd bring all trash talking here as well as FB:)[/quote] TOP CHEF! Woo Hoo, DD and I are sooo excited for the new season! It's a throwdown and I wonder who will come out on top? (yes, I opened that door) Too bad we all can't sample the food and vote!

Good morning! Went for an early morning run, met the volleyball girls to try on shoes and get sizes, met spirit wear vendor to approve colors for shirts, picked up DS and dropped him off for workout, met former student at school to give her a projector for her wedding this weekend, picked up DS, home for a few moments and then off to take DD to her oral surgeon to get her wisdom teeth pulled. BUSY! There is still more to do!!!! I feel like I have 100 things to do, but they are all little minor things that have to be done! No substance. Lu I hear ya on the laundry. Mine is always doubling - I can't keep up with it! Especially with teenagers in the house. DD does her laundry, so that is nice, but occasionally she sneaks in a couple of loads. Michelle, hope you are feeling better! I am in the middle of debating (with myself) whether or not to have a fill. You know me and that damn plateau! Slim, glad that you are feeling better! Glouc, hot, muggy, sounds about right. Glad you were able to get the immunizations done! That is always a pain when they start running out. Honeymoon planning - FUN! Hope you all have a great day!
-
Maybe they were telling jokes about their momma?? EEK!
-
So unexceptable! I can't even imagine. Can they be turned in for neglect???? My DD was complaining about helping her grandparents pick out new cell phones today. I ever so politely informed her that she should appreciate the time that she has with them, they would do anything for her and someday she will be so glad that they were always a large part of her life! So I really can't imagine someone letting that happen - I miss my granny, she was the best and I would kick some ass if that every happened to her! Sounds like a horrible way to start the day! Not good. Hope you were feeling better by the afternoon! Oh yeah! That is where the laundry fairy went! Damn, I wonder if they have all the socks?:huh2: :w00t::thumbup: PJTP: Long, long day. I had a good swim this morning, played mommy taxi, met with my new store manager to go over her tasks and duties, had lunch with my parents and children(it was my dads b-day), ran errands for myself and school, went to WLS group, mommy taxi again and then home for the evening. Woosh! Now I will go to bed so I can get up and do it all over again!

My doctor/nutritionist wants me to be getting 80-90 grams of protein and be eating 1000-1200 calories. I find it almost impossible to get it from food alone.

A stalker that runs! Good for you in starting this program and good for you for not letting the rain stand in your way or running! Making that mental, "I will do this" hurdle is huge, so you are well on your way. You could try biking and see how you feel. I am not a professional of any kind, but I think you do need at least one full day off each week for your body to rest. I would try the bike and then the C25K and see how you feel, you will know if it is too much. Your body will always tell you when you over do it! Good luck with running! Keep us posted on how you are doing and feel free to ask questions!

It is always a mystery! One day is grand the next is not! You will get through it and finally hit restriction. I had to have 6 fills before I really got there. Sounds like the doc is looking after your health and welfare, which is great. I know it is disappointing when things don't go the way we have planned. Be patient, it will happen!

What an amazing feeling. WTG! Don't look back that "2" is gone forever!!!

Need food idea to take along to the hospital please?
krtork replied to tcbgirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
That is pretty poor choices at the hospital! Makes it hard to make a good choice. Sounds like you have a good start on foods that you can take. You might bring a small cooler, and then you could have some cheese sticks or yogurt and maybe through in some fresh fruit or berries. Good luck with your sons surgery!
