Okay, I am in. I need some sort of motivation - I feel like I am slipping back to old eating habits: snack, snack, snack! This may be just what I need!!! Memorial Day: 3 lbs July 4th: 5 lbs (8 lbs total) Aug 5th: 5 lbs (13 lbs total) I have not really lost much the past couple of months, so this is going to be a real challenge for me!

Amy~jump in and get started! Of course you can join the C25K, you can start at any time. If you go to coolrunnings.com you will find the program as well as links to podcasts that will help you when you get started. Just remember to take the program at a pace that is comfortable for you. I think everyone here would agree that they have had to redo days or even weeks to make it through the entire program. Just remember that is okay - you need to listen to your body and progress at a rate that is comfortable for you! It is a great program and it will help you get active and feel better! Good luck with the program, I hope you can get your husband to do it with you!

Georgia~ stay off your back until it feels better. I know that it took a full two weeks when I sprained my back before I was able to start moving again. Take care and you will be back on the road before you know it!

Just got back from flying. No problems. I took some Protein bars and almonds with me on the flight, to make sure I had something I knew I could eat. I also made sure I took some bottled Water with me and asked for water during the flight.

I have been busy, busy, busy and I need to get moving again. I just got back from the DECA Nationals, where I took 18 students. A week of no sleep, stress and some fun! Time to get serious. It is a downpour outside, hoping it is not to bad out at my house, I want to get a good run in - it has been way too long!

I need to get my fanny in gear! I have had a hard time getting back on the road after having a sprained back. I am now off to Cali for a week with my students. I am taking my running clothes and plan on getting in a couple of runs. I have been swimming and biking, but it has been hard to get back running. Anybody have any advice. This has always been my worst habit; if I stop doing something, I just never seem to get back to it! Argh!!!!! I need a swift kick in the fanny - any takers??

Friday Morning Weigh-in, April 24th
krtork replied to BDS_Geologist's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am down 2 lbs this week, 189! Yeah! Michelle: glad to hear you didn't gain any weight! That is great. -
It was a beautiful sunny, and warm, spring day! I got my bike out and did 5 miles. It was so fun! I think I might be able to get into this bike thing! LOL! It was rolling hills and one long up hill, but it was gradual, so I got to practice shifting - someday I will get it! I am going to do the same ride again on Wednesday - hoping the weather holds. I now know that I can ride home from work too - it is 6 miles from work to our house. I think it will be nice to ride home after school, good stress reliever! Well, I know it was short, but it was a good start and just wanted to share!

Yeah me! I am at 191, down 2lbs and not at 193 - I hate that number! Crossing my fingers that it sticks and I am not in another 2lb swing! WTG to all you losers! -
Mac~ 22.5 that is great! Good luck with the Tri! Let us know how it goes.

You should be fine. Never have had any issues with mine.

I live in a hilly area also, it was really not too much of a problem. I did try to make sure I wasn't starting any runs up a hill - that can be daunting. However, if you just take it slow, you can do it! You don't have to break a record, you need to be at a slow comfortable pace and then slowly work your way up to more speed. Take the program at your pace, don't worry if you have to redo a week or a day - that is okay! The fact that you are out their moving is a real plus!! Don't worry about other people, they are busy focusing on their run and not thinking about you - I have noticed this when I run. I don't pay attention to what other people are doing, I focus on myself. Get out there on Saturday and let us know how it goes!

I love the scale in the kitchen idea! I just might move mine tonight when I get home!

August All Stars Easter Challenge! Final Weigh In!
krtork replied to heartfire's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well, I didn't even come close. The scale is not budging - very frustrating! I am thankful that it is not going up. It is hard to not get so frustrated when the scale won't move - it has been weeks! However, my back is feeling better, I am able to start moving and exercising again. That is a plus for me, I have found exercise to be good for the mood! I am hoping as I am able to get back to pre-injury exercise my weight will respond! WTG to all that met their goal! Keep up the good work! -
Brad~ WTG! That is so awesome! 100 lbs is a true milestone - you should be grinnin'! Lellow~ That is so great that you have hit goal and are looking great!
-
Annie~ Hope your surgery went well. I was banded by Dr. Archer in August! Great experience, great staff!
-
Accountess~ Hope the procedure went well! How are you doing??
-
Lellow~ Glad to hear the surgery went well and you are back! I bet you can't wait for the swelling to go down and get a look at the new you! I am watching the scale and finding that 193 will not go away, not up, not down - just the same. I think it has been at least 5 weeks! Soooooo frustrating!!!

August All Stars Easter Challenge! End, wk 7 (4/5/09)

I give up! Argh! I am so frustrated right now! Doing the right things, but the scale is stuck! -
I hear ya! I am in a love hate relationship with my band right now. If I get on the scale and it says 193 one more time I think I will throw it out the window! Argh! I have been tracking my foods, making sure I am drinking enough Water and exercising like crazy. The past two weeks have been hard. I injured my back and was not able to exercise. Starting back up again this week and really feeling pretty good! I have been in the same rut for about 2 months now, it just doesn't seem to want to come off. It is very frustrating. I am glad that I am not going up, that is a plus, because any other time in my life, that is exactly what would happen. I just want the scale to go down!!! I still feel confident that it will move again, my body might just need to adjust and take a break - I don't know. I have already lost 75 pounds, so I can't complain much! Just needed to vent!

Ok, now I feel very motivated I would love to be able to put some numbers up! I have to walk until Sunday, well, I am a cheater, I did try running the other day and it wasn't too bad, it was a flat level surface and I took it super slow! It is amazing how addicting exercise can be! One of those things I thought I would never say!
