Isn't that funny that they really don't get it? Sorry about the knee - ow! The kids also woke up complaining about the mooing cow! So I wasn't the only one. Cupcakes look fantabulous! Yumm!!! I have a front load and I love it! With the number of loads I have to crank out in a week, it has really done the job. Wow! I think I would have been walking on my lips! I can hardly drink anything since being banded, goes right to my head. Or is it cows mooing??

Lu~ We lost power at 10 last night and it came back on at 9:45 this morning. Kind of weird sleeping in a completely quiet house. We usually have fans running. The damn cow down the street mooed almost all night long! Got out the candles and read by candle light for awhile. DS could not understand why the internet wouldn't work?!? We were going to play games, but nobody wanted to go rifle through the hall closet to find one. Everybody went to bed early. Went up for a 4 mile run at the mountain. Awesome morning. The dust was all down from the rain last night, with a light breeze blowing, perfect! Had a good run and took almost 6min off my time from the other night! Hope everyone has a great day! Rain or shine!

People always think that I am crazy for having 4 JRs but I absolutely love their quirky little personalities! Two of ours are rescues and the other two we purchased, I play agility with them and it is a bunch of fun. Especially now that I can run and almost keep up with them! I knew I would love to come vacation at your place, heck I could even bring the dogs! Lucky you, enjoy your evening! My DH "made" dinner the other night. He had to boil water and warm up the leftover marinara sauce and I still had to head into the kitchen to help!

Make sure that you are planning ahead and then you shouldn't have to pick up fast food. I know in the beginning stages it would be hard for me when the family would order fast food. I refused to hold the bag in the car! Now it doesn't bother me so much - it really grosses me out and the smell is horrible! Make sure you have some Protein powder with you and a shaker. I still have baggies of Protein Powder in my purse and in my computer bag, that way if I get hungry or can't have to stay late somewhere, I always have something with me that I can "eat". In later stages, you can carry around Protein Bars, nuts, etc to have on hand for the hungries. I think planning is the best way to go, then you are not wondering what to eat or putting yourself in situations where you might make a poor choice. Remember that this whole process is a learning journey. So don't beat yourself up - get back on track and be ready for what tomorrow may bring! -
I use an immersion blender, a regular blender and a mini-food processer/chopper. Those three things were very helpful in the beginning and I continue to use them.

Tap~ Love the dog story. You mentioned the dog was white, happen to be a Jack Russell - I have four of them and if they get out, they love to go on 2 hour adventures with us chasing them the whole way! Crazy dogs! KC~ You are more than welcome to come and cook for my family - they would love every bite! Lu~ I will come vacation at your place, sounds great. However, I would be the one that couldn't lounge around, I would be up helping around the place! I agree about screaming kids - can't stand them! Of course, I have barking dogs, just as bad! Glou~ Congrats! Funny how little things make it seem more real! G4E~ Hope you get that lawn mowed, sounds really tall! Kat~ My thoughts are with you at the funeral today. School shopping on a Saturday - ugh! Busy, noisy, pushy people - not fun at all. At least you get to spend some time with your mom! I had lunch with my mom and kids yesterday - it was nice! We have had super hot weather this past week and looks like we might hit 100 today - ugh! We were supposed to yesterday but the temp stopped at 97, still too hot for me. Had a crazy thunderstorm and torrential (sp) rains at our house last night and they got none of it in town. So it did cool off, but the damn humidity hit and that is no fun. We live in a very dry area. My flower beds were flooded, but all looks good this morning! I think I might go window shopping today, just to be in the air conditioned buildings. Well, have to start up the mommy taxi and get DS to his appointment. Have a great one!

Carol~ You'll kill that race! Isn't it amazing how we really do have that little extra burst of energy at the end when we push for it! Anne~ I really like the group run, just started doing that and it is nice to have someone that runs at your pace to keep you going! 4miles- yeah! Kathy~ So nice to hear that your DS has a BFF. Nice for the kids to have those normal experiences, and just get to be kids! Had a couple good runs this week - no spills! I have today off, my body is saying "Thanks!" and have a group trail run early Sunday morning. Can't wait! It is a really great trail and we get to go over logs and creeks - too fun!

DD went to see Orphan last night and absolutely loved it. She said it has a good twist. It must be good, she usually calls things at the beginning of the movie and is right. She said she didn't even see it coming.

Man - I would love to be you! Sweaty hotties on the lawn drinking ice cold water - mmm! You could pretend like you were taking pictures of the flowers or something and then they are accidently in the picture. Sneaky!

Good morning! Lu~ you are a great friend! Men are such wusses when they have something wrong with them. She deserves a night out with the girls and a place to land and rest when all is done! Kat~ The play sounds awesome! KC~ you crack me up! You are lucky to have those boys! Go for the hardwood floors! Ebony~ Glad to hear that the wogging is going so well for you! Good luck with the interview on Monday! Beth~ Emails from Asshole - :crying: Heart~ Hope DD has a blast riding the pony today! I think they have some trail horses at Black Butte Ranch when you come to Oregon. Of course, I have my horse, but he is a dork! PJTP: Put in a short run this morning and I am going to have lunch with my mom and dad this afternoon. They are both heading into town, so I will drag the kids along with me. It is supposed to be 100 today - argh! Too hot! Just trying to stay cool.

Glad to see you are getting a fill. I keep going back and forth on whether or not to go in. It really depends on what I am eating. I have been tracking and realize that I am getting way too much sodium, ouch! Have to watch the foods that I am eating and make sure they are not sliders, it is so easy to fall into that habit. I did change up my exercise and that seems to be helping. I am trying to get in at least 1 hour of cardio, 4-5 times per week. I was stalling out at about 30-40 minutes. I think this has also helped with the loss. Just keep making good choices and it will start moving again. I have lost weight the last two weeks and I was to the point where I thought I had just found my "happy" weight and was going to live with it! Stick in there, you've come this far and that fill sounds like it will definitely help you out! WTG! Isn't it amazing how far you have come in just one year! I was banded on Aug 5 also. Losing 90lbs in one year is awesome! I also wanted to hit the 100# lost mark by my one year, but I tell you what, the weight I have lost and all that I have gained are just as substantial as hitting that mark! Keep up the good work and good luck in year 2! Gilta, congrats on year one! My doctor also had me rethink my goal weight and I did move it up. Not there yet, but getting closer! Treat yourself to something nice tomorrow and Celebrate what you have accomplished!:crying:

I always have pineapple juice and papaya enzymes on hand. Both seem to help. I have had horrible slime episodes and the pineapple juice really seems to help. I also use the enzymes if I feel like I may have pushed it. Everytime this has happened I have been eating too fast and not chewing like I should. You think after awhile I would get it, but no, it does happen occasionally and I find it best to be prepared. I know that some people do get stuck and have swelling, etc. because it is really bad. If you are having a hard time, make sure and contact your doctors office - they should have the best advice. Hope you are feeling better and made it through the night okay, let us know how the follow up visit went! -
Oh my, I don't think that was a hot flash! KC, you are one lucky girl - I never get hot guys to work at my house. Wait, nobody ever works at my house.
-
GG~ Sorry to hear about the cluster headaches - that is no fun at all. I never had cluster headaches but had horrible migraines for years - so I can empathize with your pain! I hope the oxygen helps, it is nice to see you're open to different ideas and ways to help your pain - everybody responds to different methods! Good to have you back - keep us posted on how you are doing! Miss you on the C25K thread!

I had an awesome evening run! Went with DH and my DDog (Jackson) up to a mountain trail. We had a thunderstorm, it rained, and cooled off tonight - it was perfect! DH took off on his run and Jackson I did a 4 mile run. It was a nice trail, good hills and we got to run across a stream - Jackie loved that!
-
I love it! That is exactly how I feel! Oh, can't wait, more hot guy stories! I agree!

KC~ I wish I could cook - not very good at it, but I do try. I just know if I made it most of it would be thrown away. Zucchini brownies - now that sounds interesting! Lu~ You look awesome! Beth~ sorry about the job. But you will be very busy with school! There is something else out there for you, just keep looking! Tap~ here you on the flesh wings - I hate my arms! Swear I would lose at least 20lbs if I had all the extra skin removed. Gross! PJTP: It is hard to keep up with everyone! I had to play mommy taxi this morning. Up early and making the rounds. Then I was able to come home and get some weeding in before the sun moved to the front of the house. It has been so hot, haven't been out keeping up with the weeds and some of them look like trees! Got one wheelbarrow load done - I feel better about that! Have plans to run up in the mountains with DH this evening. I think I will take one of my dogs if it cools down enough. Should be a nice out and back run with great views! I need to get a smaller camera so I can get some pictures in while I am out running.
