I am the same way, once I am up, that is it, I am up for the rest of the day. During the school year, DH will wake me up to go let the dogs out and I hate it! I can't go back to sleep. The sad part is, he can! The man can sleep through anything!
-
Go back to bed! Puppies always bark at the wind - especially when you are trying to sleep!:scared2: Crossing fingers that your mom will make a flight! I hope you get to walk with her!

Wow, I was up for the evening posting, but got way behind this morning! Went for a nice 3.5 mile run and it was beautiful this morning. Slightly overcast, but the temp was perfect for a run! Came home and mowed the lawn so the poor pups could use it for their business! It was getting so tall the little one could hardly go!:wink2: I love hs kids, they are great! So full of energy and creativity. The hs drama gets a little old, but, have to take the bad with the good! I teach marketing so they want to be in my class (well, for the most part) and we do a bunch of fun business projects, run the student stores (coffee shop, clothes, snack shop) and travel for competition. They keep me hopping and they are the reason I can get up and go to work every morning! Kind of like suntea, but with alcohol! Oh yeah! I need to get my drink on! You all have such good recipes, I am heading to the liquor store today! Girl, you need a vaca! You get way too little sleep! Thank God for neighbors, at least you can still see the Hotties - I am sure you have binoculars! My DD is off to college here at the end of Sept. Isn't it crazy how fast they grow up and head out the door to start their own lives! Do you have a good CC in town where you live? DD is going to OSU, but if she doesn't make the crew team, she will most likely be heading home to CC before the year is out. I just can't believe how expensive college is! We are trying to get her set and ready to go. We get no financial help whatsoever - sux! She does get a loan for $5500, but it accrues interest while she is in school - ick! Kat~ Hope the grandbaby is well! Can't wait to see some pix!
-
And the winner is. . . . Beth! I had you at the top of pg. 1000 and as post #15000!
-
Lu~ Hope the doggy is resting well. It is a hard time when it comes to the end. I think we always know when it is time for them to go, but sometimes it is hard to put the wheel in motion. It is like losing a family member. My heart goes out to you and your pup!
-
That would be great news for you and your family! I would, as everybody else has, suggest that she push for further testing. Better to know for sure, then to wonder! You have had a very stressful day! Hope that tomorrow is better!
-
A tease and a flirt - those poor hotties don't stand a chance!:tt2: Your job is way too exciting! I just have to deal with "high school drama" all day long. It does provide some funny stories, I just don't remember being that clueless when I was in high school, but I guess I was. Wait, maybe I still am. . .clueless that is!:crying:
-
Bill~ That is a very sweet story. I hope that you shared it with her! I am so impressed that the two of you have done WLS! Think of all the extra years you will have to enjoy each other and tell her how beautiful she is!
-
Ro~ So glad to hear that you are doing well and had your "first" fill! Sounds like they will be moving you toward restriction faster than before. I bet the weight will start sliding off. Good luck with your new band!
-
Sounds like chocolate freakin' heaven! Plus I am a sucker for chocolate mint. They now have the Girl Scout Thin Mint Blizzard at DQ. I will convince one of the kids to get one, that way I can have a couple of bites!:sneaky: Sorry the pup is sick! No fun, hope s/he is feeling better soon. Sorry you don't get the vaca! Sounds like you will still be able to go out and have a nice evening! I find it interesting that primo uno is always coming to borrow things from you!??? Is he not working next door? HMMM!
-
I take one Flinstones chewable a day. I only like the red, so I make my DH have the other flavors! :sneaky:
-
I don't know how you run on so little sleep! It is the blessing of youth! Well, sweet HOTTIE dreams!
-
I keep having the same thing happen to my posts, happening on FB too! I might start getting a complex, thinking nobody likes me :sneaky: Get your mojo back! After the first week, it just gets harder and harder to get back in the gym. I had an injury in late March and it literally took me almost 6 weeks to get back in the groove again. I only had to take 2 weeks off - it is soooo easy to get out of the habit! Get back out there! (this is me kicking you in the fanny!) See above, it was a real pain this morning! Fish, I hate fish, how did I end up here?:tt2: Beth~ I am sending my thoughts and prayers your way for you and your family! Hopefully you will get the full story and have some solid information soon. Try not to get worked up and too worried before you really know what is happening. Of course this is so easy to say, but so hard to do! I am similiar, in that I just get those feelings for certain situations, but they can be wrong! (((hugs)))

How much (quantity not calories) do you eat per meal?
krtork replied to banded07-n-ohio's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am at the 3/4 - 1 cup amount on most meals. Depends on if I am eating slider foods or not, if so, I can get down a bit more. I agree with Jodi, those smaller amounts would not leave me as satisfied. I also exercise a bunch and need my fuel to keep me going. I also think it depends on where you are in the process. In the beginning I could hardly eat anything, now I can eat a whole 8oz of food in a meal. Doesn't that sound funny, when you compare it to what you would have eaten pre-band! -
Yesterday: B: 1/2 c Life cereal, 1c skim milk L: 12 tortilla chips, 4tbs bean dip, 1oz co-jack, salsa S: 1/4 c trail mix D: 1/2 c lettuce, 2oz chicken, 1/2 c penne (I busted out and tried it!) 2tbs ff ranch S: a very small piece of yellow cake with choc frosting - yummmmmy! It was my bandiversary, so I added a bit of pasta, just to see how it would go down - very good, just mixed it in with my salad. Had the cake for the same reason, did not go down so well, but I had a small piece and it was yummy.

Yeah on the NSV!

Kat~ Sorry to hear about the Bitchy boss! That makes it no fun to go in to work! Just keep that new grand-baby in mind when you go in tomorrow and the day will pass quickly enough! Night all!
-
 We'll have to make sure Lu is there, then we are guaranteed that the Hotties will lose!
-
Misty~ You model patient! Isn't it nice to be a patient that your doctor can be proud of vs. the one they use as an example of what not to do! I have a really small wardrobe right now - still need to lose a few more pounds. Claudine, you should try a thrift store. We have a couple of really nice ones in our town, where you can pick up some decent pieces for a small price! Claudine, WTG on the running! It is so empowering!

I'm just sayin' I'm not very good and I can't even cheat very well! I would need some lessons from Lu, so I probably would need to pay attn to the tape! Maybe a couple of drinks and I would be set to go:thumbup: I would wear many layers - so no worries! Better yet, they could have a few drinks. . . Now I'm thinkin'!
-
G4E~ Positive thoughts for Monday! I wanna play poker! I don't think ya wanna see me nekid though - ewww! Used to be pretty good back in the day, but it has been a long time. Beth, don't care about the teaching method, make sure you get KC's hotties! Lu~ Have a fun vacation!
-
That is the pits! Summer? Where is summer? I hope that is no indicator of what kind of winter you are going to be in for! Yeah on the NSV! I don't need a reduction, but I would love an enhancement Busy week! Yeah for your mom - have a great walk on Sunday! I love your life! Send the hotties this way!!! Woo hoo, over here! What she said! (((hugs))) I hope that new job comes your way - you deserve to be treated better!

Wow! One, year down! I can't believe that it has gone by so quickly. I did not meet my goal - but, I am close (2 lbs). Maybe I will be there by Friday. I have lost a total of 79lbs, run three 5Ks, completed one sprint triathlon and I am training for a 10K in September. I would have laughed at you if you had told me I would have accomplished those things this year!! I have gone from a very snug size 22 to a very comfortable size 16. I can wear a Large or XL shirt from the ladies dept - no more Lane Bryant! I can buy clothes that are cute and fun in real people stores and it still amazes me! I feel truly blessed that I am now participating in my life and not just watching it pass by. I have so much more energy it is crazy! I have normal blood pressure and I was released from my C-Pap two weeks ago. My health issues are a thing of the past and I never want to go back there! I have met new friends this year and feel that they were significant in helping me reach this place in my journey. I have also found it beneficial to have LBT and all the insight and info from everyone that posts here. There are some of you on LBT that I rely on to answer my questions, listen to me complain, give me motivation and kick me in the fanny when I need it! You know who you are and I want to thank you! I hope that you all have a fantastic year two! I am so excited to see what it brings!

The best part of shopping is the hunt for the bargain! I went to Macy's and tried on a pair of jeans on the sale rack and they were having one of those 1/2 off the 1/2 off sales. I only shop the sales racks! Well, long story short Tommy Jeans for $10 a pair. The sales gal says, "wait, I think we have more of these in the back!". So I end up with 2 pair for 20 bucks - SCORE! New purse - so cute and nobody else has one like it - $3 at the thrift store - found it in the athletic section! Too cute! I could go on, but I won't bore you!

I would kill for a rootbeer! My all time fav soda! Tomorrow is my one year! I did have some rootbeer ice cream. I actually just smell the rootbeer when the kids have some in the house - that usually gets it for me. Maybe I will bust out and have a couple of sips!?!
