You are doing great! Don't be discouraged. You just made it through the holidays doing I would think a whole lot better than years in the past! You'll see a big change after your fill. Wait and see! Hang in there and be happy! :laugh:

Okay...while we're on this subject -- I have an appointment at 3:00 today w/ the surgeon, possibly for another fill. This is my first full day of TOM and I feel like crap. Should I re-schedule the appt??? I'm not even sure he was planning to do a fill today....

I seriously thought you were being sarcastic. Mine is scared that I'll lose my boobs...but otherwise, he's happy so far.

My boyfriend and I arrived at Davis Regional Medical Center at 6:15 am and we were surprised to see my Pastor walk in right after us. It wasn’t long before I was called back to the pre-op room where they started my IV and got me ready. As soon as I was ready, they let Todd and Pastor Will come back to talk to me. I remember being rolled into the operating room and seeing a lot of guys standing around in there. The anesthesiologist said he’d stay right with me the whole time. At around 10:15 am (I think), I was rolling into the regular hospital room (coming out of my “sleep”) and saw Todd and my Mom waiting for me. Even though the nurse said I would not remember, I do remember Todd saying, “Honey, they took out your gall bladder by mistake. They have to take you back to put it back in.” I was sort of “in and out” for a while after I got to the room. I do remember my best friend Sheila calling and talking to Mama…and I talked with her, even though I don’t remember all I said. I was up and walking down the hall by 1:30 pm and it was much easier getting out of the bed than when I had my C-sections.

I'm attending my second LapBand Support Group meeting tomorrow after work. I LOVE these things! It is so exciting to actually get to spend time in person with others that are going through the same experiences and being able to share information! I love this site, but actually meeting others in person is even better. :thumbup:

My surgery was at around 7:00 am on a Monday and I had to spend the night in the hospital. The next morning, I had to drink some really nasty stuff and have an X-Ray before I could come home. It was early, though.

Best of luck to you Michelle! Hopefully your hubby will come around and be more supportive, but you can do this. Let us know how your surgery goes. I have no regrets. I love my band! :thumbup:

Great photos!!! Congratulations! Okay...here's my "thing" -- I go with my BFF's to the beach in June every year. This year I will wear a tankini and look HOT. Not because I want to find a man because I already have one (LOL), but just because I want to look good for myself. :wub:

I'm so sorry you are going through this! I didn't experience this -- My surgery was in October and I haven't puked at all. I hope they can give you relief at the Dr. office today!

Just once for a basic psych exam and clearance.

I had some of those "what am I doing?" moments before I had the surgery. But I can honestly say that I have not regretted it once. I have not had any major problems...I haven't experienced the major gas pains, I haven't puked at all, and I feel great! Since my first fill, I have experienced that "I can't eat another bite" feeling a couple of times and it's not pleasant, but it's a tool to help me not eat as much. That's what I need! Attending a seminar would be the best thing for you. I know I had to watch a 45-min video that went into great detail. And then the surgeon came in and answered questions. It helped me a lot! And the fact that his nurse that was leading the meeting had just had the procedure done about 4 months prior helped me even more. I wanted to ask HER questions instead of the surgeon. :wink_smile:

I miss it, too! I'm scared to try it because of the rice, though. I haven't eaten any form of rice since my surgery.

I have United Healthcare and I had to fill out a huge packet of information -- 5 year history. With the help of my primary care physician and the nurse at the surgeon's office, we got it all completed. It was well worth the time and effort. I love my band!
