I'm a 56 year old female.  Married with 3 adult/young adult children.  I had Gastric Sleeve surgery with Dr. Christina Li on 11/1/2021 at Northwest Hospital in Baltimore, MD.  I had considered wls for years, but once my youngest went to college, I knew it was my time.  At my highest, I weighed 245 pounds several years ago.  I was 217.5 on surgery day.  I am currently 206.5 on 11/13/2021.  I am 5' 3" .  So far so good!  I had never had general anesthesia, and it knocked me on my butt!  I couldn't even stay awake after surgery.  The first day was a blur.  I finally felt awake around 2pm the day after surgery.  The surgery itself felt like my c-sections to be honest.  Truly a piece of cake.  Liquid diet first two weeks was ok.  I suffered from nausea so I changed the protein I was using which helped.  I start pureed stage tomorrow.  I have no indigestion so far and no trouble swallowing fluids.  So, I'm thinking this next phase will go well.  I learned about Bariatric Pal via google.  I'm hoping to read other's stories for insight.  I'm also happy to provide insight as well!
