No fasting required. I have been drawing blood for 13 years. Never had a doctor send me someone with a thyroid test and make them fast. I agree with the other person definately need a t3 and a free t4 done for a truer picture of the thyroid's function. Good luck. Kelli

I am so bummed. I was supposed to be banded this month. But we had to change it until sometime in September, because I have a ulcer. )-: Anyone else get postponed. I hate this waiting. I have done all the other steps. I am so frustrated, i hope they call and set the date up soon. :smile2:

How can you be sure that is not a blood clot? That sounds like a lot of the warning signs. I work for a family practice doctor and you would be sent to the hospital asap for a venous doppler us. You should get in asap. Not trying to scare you, but be very careful. If it is not a clot it could be an infection. Keep us posted. Take care of you. -

I'm in the last stages of approval. I have my psych eval next week, then we are good to go. I am hoping of the week of August 11th. I'm a mother to 2 little girls and one big hubby. I am hoping this all goes well. Nice to know there is a group for us now. Kelli

I'm so glad i'm not alone in this. I've heard the "your not that overweight" comment so many times. Hello I'm 255lbs, how can you not see i'm overweight. My hubby is overweight too, he is struggling with me doing this without him. He thinks I will leave him. NO WAY! I married for life! Good luck to you. We will get through this together.
