BANAJOR OR BUST! Surgery 4/3/06
oneflew replied to lightnerbride's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Thanks for the heads up Brandy. Congrats on your success! I will be a March Bandster also. 033106. Good luck on your continued loss! Sam -
I guess we're all just different. The past year eating a mcgriddle and maybe more has become so habit, that it's hard to tear away from. I literally have to beat myself up NOT to go there. If you could hear the internal dialogue you'd laugh. I haven't seen the supersize me, and maybe I should. But at least for me, not unlike a dope addict, I have to say no, not even one, because it is never just one, or one day. I have to stay strong. Everyone is different though, and if that's not your weakness, then more power to you. Moderation is the key for everything. Some of us, like an alcoholic, or drug addict can't moderate some things, and have to just take it off the table. Me, I can refuse cake any day of the week, but a breakfast taco, with cheese, or mcgriddle, never, and make mine two please. I think we just all have to find our own middle ground and know our own limitations.

Geesh, I experience the same thing, especially the mcgriddles. I'm pre-surgery. My date is 033106. My deal with mcdonalds, is that just having one bite would be the kiss of death. One bite would lead to devouring the whole thing. Just better to clear it off my options now. And I think the same thing. This really is crap food. Why do we crave it soooo much? I feel like everytime I say no that I gain a little more power over it. It really is like a drug. At least for me. Hang in there!

Hey April, yep, that's me. I was doing a deposit, as I'm doing the Inmed band, and airfare is scheduled with it, so they collect the deposit up front I guess for that. I'm a little nervous. I'm going by myself also. Any suggestions and are you on a liquid diet now? Thanks, sam -

I just wanted to say congrats to you. I had decided on Bajanor also, but for the 31mar, I had also paid the deposit 2500.00 through my debit bank account to secure, but just recently was told that they were having problems with paypal and would need to refund and then bring check. Do you already have all of your flight and reservaion info? Good luck again! Samantha -
Hi everyone. I've only been researching this procedure for about a month now, but somehow know this is the way I need to go. I'm 5'4'', 230 lbs, and my blood pressure is high. I've tried everything and have had some success, but it always comes back, plus. Since I will be self-pay and on a limited budget I have decided I could probably only afford the Dr.'s in Mexico. I appreciate all of you in advance for all the good information and advice you have to share. Thanks again. Sam

oneflew replied to Mithow's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I have been researching lap banding and the banajor location. Did you feel comfortable with this option in TJ? I'm a little nervous about it, and would be travelling by myself? Thanks, and congrats Mithow on your success! Thanks, Samantha
