What Kind of Soup Are U Eating During The Mushie Stage?
BLUEZBANDIT replied to speck's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I made chicken and vegetable soup with paprika and lentils and split peas, Boiled for a couple of hours until the liquid was thick and tasty. I strained the liquid for my own meals (frozen in little packages) and gave my husband the rest to eat which he loved! -

BLUEZBANDIT replied to Keleka's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Welcome Sash, another September Samurai, our numbers are growing well! Good luck with your surgery. -
I divorced the husband that kept dreaming of that 18 year old body that I did no longer have after having his children. Best thing I ever did! Now I'm married to a lovely supportive man who loves me no matter what shape I'm in.

I've decided to change my life!
BLUEZBANDIT replied to cakes8's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
HI CAKES! I am a bandit from Tasmania and I have had my band for just 16 days and I have already lost 7 kgs. Its fabulous! I wish I had been 33 and had it done as I would have had a lot longer of my adult life to feel slim and healthy. However I will make the most of it, even planning a tummy tuck to take care of the leftovers. If you need to have a real time chat you can via msn messenger ID bluesmumma. -

G'day Mad Dog I am from Tassie and have been banded for nearly 2 weeks. I have read these boards from a***hole to breakfast so if you have any questions I am more than likely to know the answers. I'll leave things to you to ask as I don't want to shove stuff down ya throat that ya mighn't be interested in. But sounds like you are ready to go to your GP and get referred to a Dr. Good Luck not that you will need it. Its not a horrible thing to happen to you. Cya Deb -

OH BOCHS! I'm with you!! After my entire adult life having to carry around this disgusting apron of skin and fat, I will be hanging for a tummy tuck as well also at the age of 54. Just to feel and look normal for some part of my life will make me feel FAN-BLOOMING-TASTIC! After a lifetime of being a good mum and hardworking wife and grandma its MY treat to myself! Deb -

Are you keeping your lap band a secret, or telling everybody?
BLUEZBANDIT replied to Snowgator's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I told the people who see me regularly so they wont worry that I'm getting thin means I might have cancer but not the occasion visitors as I think it would be fun to get some real natural reactions when they see that you have gotten slimmer. -
What will you do with your hands
BLUEZBANDIT replied to terilynn112's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have become a comper and enter lots of competitions, either on the net or composing 25 words or less ditties. This has become very profitable for me also as I have won trips, appliances and lots of others odds and ends. What I can't use I donate to charity. It keeps me so busy that I just dont have time for thinking about food. In fact sometimes I forget to eat. So far this year I have earned $6000. -
