Mutt

Hi, I was banded 091908, I really don't have a lot of pain just at the port. Hear comes the Butt my real problem is im on the clear liquid diet now for two weeks, Im really having problems with loose stools actually not stools just water. I feel and hear the gas but when I actually try to go it backs up,:rolleyes2: and nothing happens without really trying to force it. Any ideas thanks.

Good Morning, My name is Mutt, I was banded on 9/19. You ladies should be very proud of yourselfs for getting this surgery. A little about myself, I too am married to the love of my life for 26 yrs. I work for the City of Saint Augustine, FL. My starting weight pre diet was 293, current as of 9/19 am was 273. I felt that the pre op diet for me was easy, I guess I just focused on the fact that the pre op diet was basically to shrink the liver to make easyer for the doctor, im not crazy about surgery and want to help the doctor as much as possable. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

Hi again, I want to thank all of you for your support, the big day is 09/19. I am concerned about my pre-op diet, I didn't exceed the 1250 calories limit per day but I kept forgetting the protein drinks and could not stand the bars. Should I worry about this or is it too late?

Hi Kathy, My name is mutt, and I just went on the pre diet like yourself. So far first day! Im not doing so well. I havn't cheeted but I am starving, I really hope I can stick to this liquid diet. Good luck for the both of us.

Hi, My name is Mutt, and I am scheduled for surgery 9/19/08. I have had weight problems since the mid 80's. Im 46 yrs. young, and an amazing 296 pounds heavy. I have been researching this procedure for about one year now and when I asked my doc. about it he said it was a good idea. Next thing I know im appoved, I hope not a little too soon. I guess im just a big chicken, I have never liked the idea of surgery. Reading some of the horror stories really hasnt helped. Given my faimly history and the fact that I fail misabrilly with any and all diets I know its nessary. Any suggestions? Should I seek professional help?:thumbdown:
