February 2022 Surgery Buddies
vixtagram_vsg replied to MeganMyers's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I done the milk diet for 2 weeks pre op, lost 16lb and had a headache the whole time despite drinking 3L of water but I just kept reminding myself why and my goals and it made it bearable. Good luck 😉 -

I’ve changed it up today now to just 50-100ml and eating/drinking slower so will see how that goes. Yes very bloated and swollen, today was weigh day and it’s first one since op and I’m down 10lb ☺️ -

So glad I found this thread, I thought my stomach was broke or still in there 😅 I’m 6 days post op, the dietician advised to have 200ml smoothie, 200ml protein shake, 200ml soup, 200ml protein shake, 200ml yoghurt mixed with milk and another 200ml protein shake per day and 2-3 Litres of water per day, reading your comments I feel like this is way to much but I don’t get a full feeling other than a runny nose. Am I broken or has my pouch expanded from to much? US version on 200ml is 6.7oz -
I’ve been taking my mental health meds since the night after surgery 3/2 (Ireland) and I’ve had no problems so far I just wait 30 mins to eat or drink after

Have you tried a multivitamin gummie? My dietician recommended them for the first 30 days. -

I’m day 5 post op now. My surgery went well, it took 2.5 hours. I had water only on 2/2 and have been having water, soups and yoghurt since 4/2. Pain wise I’m okay only taken 2 paracetamol today but am quite swollen this evening. Good luck to any surgery buddies for the week ahead :) -

Really well thank you, I came home yesterday and today is my first day of having more than just water. Pain is okay just some discomfort which helps when I walk. How are you doing? -
