    Food Before and After Photos

yes, it is scary, I have put on 10kg and I don't even know how, well maybe I do. picking is my biggest problem you know the old go to the fridge get a slice of cheese, pick at this pick at that .................... I wish I had have been told for some people their restriction is temporary, so you really need to use this time to your full advantage

That will change and you will wish you were back where you are now. I can eat "normal" servings of food now. for example, I can eat a whole sandwich, most of a burger and some chips, a piece of steak and salad.
  3. I had incisions either side of my belly button, I haven't heard of anyone else having an incision in their actual belly button. any sort of unusual discharge should be checked especially after surgery

I think i’m over doing it

9 days out is probably a bit early to be eating those types of foods and if you are making it with mayo you probably aren't setting yourself up for success
  5. Why pay good money to see the NUT is that's how you feel about them (although I am guessing you no longer go)? I stopped after my 3rd or 4 th appointment after I realised, she wasn't telling me anything I didn't already know. To The OP if you're not happy with what she is telling you and you are doing well on your own don't waste your money or time on appointments you don't need.

  9. when you are 3 years out eating every 3 hours can be dangerous as the amount you can eat has increased quite dramatically compared to 12 months out

5 years out not losing weight

your breakfast looks great, but your lunch and dinner, yikes 4 seafood sticks ?? when I think of seafood sticks, they are either crumbed or battered and deep fried? and half a chicken breast is that one side of the breast or half of 1 side of the chicken breast? can you cut it down to one or the other. What are you drinking? I know my weight gain and inability to lose right now is due to what I am drinking (coffee and cokes) A 7-pound loss is better than a gain, so you got to be happy with that

  16. I'm in the same boat as you, my weight is regain at an alarming rate. To those who say don't weigh yourself everyday it was weighing everyday that kept my weight in check
  17. I experienced the same as what has been said, was perimenopausal with very irregular periods, then for the last 2 years I have had normal regular periods, they have just started going into perimenopausal irregularity and hot flushes have returned I am 2.5 years post op. Having said that 5 weeks of bleeding is not normal by any standard I think it's time to go see your doctor
  18. I would be going to your doctor or the ER

    Perimenopause/menopause

So just wandering if this has happened to anyone else. I was well and truly on the way to menopause before surgery, I hadn't had a period for six months and hadn't had a "regular" cycle for over 12 months. The day after surgery I get a period ok that's fine but as I lost weight my periods start to become semi regular again ??? I am 56 and thinking they should have stopped by now. So just curious if this has happened to anyone else
  20. I would say no to the anxiety mine actually increased for awhile but it depends on what actually causes your anxiety, the anxiety i had about going out to places that required dressing up (not jeans and a shirt) well i just didnt go but now i enjoy going out . So I some cases it has improved thyroid not sure that would be a question for your Dr.

    Let's Talk About Maintenance

I'm less hungry and eat less than before surgery but hungrier and can eat more than up to 12 months post surgery
