Just curious, and I don't want to sound like this is my answer to everything but are you on reflux meds, LPR (silent reflux) can present as a cough and sore throat. I am not dismissing your allergy concerns as it very well could be but could also be reflux, as allergies don't normal cause gagging or sore throats unless its what you are eating/drinking. try the meds your Dr gave you I am guessing it is something like Polaramine if that doesn't calm your cough and sore throat I would look at LPR. coughing and sore throat are classic symptoms and your sneezing could simply be just sneezing from something in the air. see how you go but worth thinking about if the allergy meds don't work.

Throat burns post sleeve
SleeverSk replied to ShoppGirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Have you noticed what foods trigger it, the 3 main triggers are coffee (caffeine), Chocolate, and Carbonated drinks. other people find food like orange juice, tomatoes etc. I find the first 3 I listed are triggers for me especially if I have all 3 on the same day . Mine is controlled with 20mg Nexium daily. -
Throat burns post sleeve
SleeverSk replied to ShoppGirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I dont think its time for that just yet, it can be sorted by finding what foods are triggering it and avoiding them, something as simple as renny's, tums or the equivalent could also settle it down. If that doesn't work meds like a daily Nexium. -

Blah...my first stall...
SleeverSk replied to SleeveToBypass2023's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
2 days ? is that really considered a stall? now I am guilty of this too but really you should only be weighing once a week then you wouldn't see these "stalls". Personally I don't class anything less than 4 weeks a stall but that's just me. -

Normal stall? Advice needed please
SleeverSk replied to Lou51's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
So I am guessing your main concern is the slowing down of your weight loss? At this point I am going to say its very normal for weight loss to slow down at the 6 month mark ( depending on your start weight of course) so dont worry about that. You do however need to sort your nutrition and gastric problem out. Sort that out then once you are all good there then concentrate on loosing more weight if you need too. -
Wow 55kg that's awesome !!!! Just be mindful of how much you eat like yes have a piece chocolates but not the whole block. I am having to stop myself from eat a packet of chips tonight been out all day didn't eat or drink much now I am starving . Eating slider food while waiting for dinner to cook another bad habit I need to break, picking while cooking

2 weeks out and...why?

I am at the 10 month mark too, I haven't lost anything for 3 months. I find myself being able to eat " normal" serving sizes. Sometimes it's a bit less sometimes a bit more. But I must admit snacking has crept back in and it's something I really need to get control of.
-
Probably around the 4 month mark but everyone is different it maybe sooner for you or as long as the 6 month mark but it does get better 😀
-
Yes the super nose I forgot about that bit 😅
-
It's normal and it should pass, I hated the smell of cooking meat straight after surgery and a few other things but I happily cook meat now with no problems. It all settles down and gets better with time.

Achieving your goals and rewarding yourself
SleeverSk replied to fourmonthspreop's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I have a lululemon jacket that I bought for a trip to nz 13 years ago and it was too tight. I always told myself I would fit it one day and now I do in fact it's loose these days but I still can't wear it cause it's to hot where I live so a trip to somewhere cold where I can wear it along with some beautiful boots would be a great reward for me . -
Going on 3 weeks post op and can't drink or eat anything
SleeverSk replied to PM2022's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It gets better and you will eat again 😁. Don't compare your experiences to the experiences of others, some have had it easy some have had a hard time but it's all pretty standard. Took me ages to be able to eat with out discomfort I stayed with foods I knew I could eat without issue longer than the phases actually were and that's OK go at your own pace listen to your body. -

SleeverSk replied to lizonaplane's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was going to suggest the same I find on the days I don't drink much I can eat all day and feel very hungry but the days I drink plenty I feel full faster and it lasts longer -
So cool!!!
