April 2006 Bandits' February Challenge
amourette replied to JulieNYC's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Boo, where are you exactly, we stay all over the place from Pasadena to Torrence, to Cerritos to Huntington Beach, I am not due up there in the next 3 weeks but who knows after that? You must PM me your phone number! Well found out the suspect Valetines wish was for real so yipppeeee for me! My garden is going great, I have so many tomatoes (tomaytoes to you all, hehehe) growing I don't know what to do, can I freeze them??? Any recipes for those and peaches would be greatly appreciated if you PM me! I am off to gym in half hour and then for a swim, then I am attempting to make peach sorbet. Yes all, to be honest my eating could be better and I must pull my socks up and get it better. XXX Amourette! -

Wow ST Barts Julie, how exiciting, I have heard of it but not sure exactly where it is...........Delta Dawn, I keep thinking about those polar bears and realisticly how well your running times would have improved with one of those beasts chasing you, I keep laughing to myself, all I am worried if someone will recognise myself running around the neighbourhood red-faced, but how dumb when you have polar bears perhaps chasing you, hehehe!!! I arrived back in NZ today, things are going good, haven't had a 'snog' again for those interested, he is away at moment, but got a valentine message ( I think)!!!!! How do I change my ticker to show my profile better and keep track of my weight loss. I know it is cold you end for most of you, but it is humid down here and I am swimming at beach most days. Boo where are you exactly I see the So, but not sure were that it is.......Solvang? No workout today but yesterday 55 mns cardio and 20 mins weights love to you all Amourette XXX:D -
I have been watching the chatroom and they seem very quiet, however the chatroom seemed happening,,,,,,,but when I checkd in, no one has answered me in the last 60 mins................what is that about, you say there is a chatroom but no-one is there, what is that about, is it something that needs to be reviewed, we are trying to join in from Downunder, but the sites aren't here when we do, Does anyone have a solution, why was I alone in that chat room...............does it exist?:omg:

I agree, it seems to be a very testing time for a lot of our group.........blessings to you all! I am fine, have sore throat so off work for a day or two, not exercising, but that is ok, maybe tomorrow. It is so hot here, I must go and buy a fan here, not many houses have air-conditioning. Have been picking heaps out of my garden, I am so excited. Anyone have a good, healthy suggestion for a salad dressing? Hope things get better for everyone!!! Love Amourette XX:D -
Hiya, I am an international flight attendant and have NEVER had a problem even in the States, but be warned the band seems to expand at pressure, I can usually only eat soups and liquids so if it is a long flight,be prepared perhaps with some of your own food!!!! Ok, enjoy your holiday!!!! Amourette XX

:biggrin1: You guys are all so funny, you must have spent the day thinking I am a wanton woman or something hehe!!! A 'snog' means a kiss but not just a peck on the lips, a bit more amorous.....it was nice to be snogged for the first time in 3 (THREE!!!!!!) years. Julie, sorry about your fall, hopefully you will be ok tomorrow. I love my boots as well, and am sure it is only a matter of time for me to fall in them also.......... I didn't exercise today but will do a run at the gym tomorrow. Have to start work at midnight tomorrow to do an all-night flight to Samoa and back, yuck! Bye for now, Don't do too much snogging everyone, hehehehe!!!:peace: -

Hey and I totally understand and agree with that, but looking from a different perspective when we are looking at our Feb challenge, why shouldnt we focus more on movement, lifestyle etc than what we do..........don't you feel a few members have droppd away because of this? XX -

Here I am back.......was thinking about the issues brought forth with our Feb challenge and wanted to say something...........I am totally into my exercise but it isn't for everyone and I feel in a way we are shutting out people on this thread that maybe don't wanna exercise but have improved their lives in other ways. I personally wasn't going to go back to gym but have and love it but if I hadn't I was going to at least try to move more........are we excluding these people, it is a very exercise orientated thread! I don't know.........just a thought, what do you all think!!! Amourette XXX:D -

Well I think the curse of the band has finally happened, my flatmate made a pass at me and tried to kiss me, it wasn't funny at the time and I have had to ask him to leave, but I am starting to laugh a bit now about it, just think, he wouldn't have tried it on a year ago at my previous weight, guess I should be flattered? Other gossip is I had another date with this guy I met at speedating and it went soooooo well, we had a swim at the beach, a NSV for me, have never been comfortable wearing togs in front of any boyfriend, and I just didn't care this time,I wore small board shorts but they were so loose, yipppee!!!! Oh and I may have got a small kiss but I guess I shouldn't tell, hehehe!!! I am off to San Francisco tomorrow, hate to leave the summer weather here but we have to work, don't we!!!! Bye everyone!!! -

Glad u did that workout, did she work you hard? Bet you felt good afterwards! Wow, to talk about a fitness competition, maybe you are going to be her next star, I sometimes read those training magazines and those girls work out so much and eat so little and so cleanly. Well it is my last day in Japan, heading home in 6 hours, but have a 18 hour work day in front of me......is a holiday weekend at home so that is good, I think I might be going on another date this weekend (with same guy)!! Wish me luck! XX Amourette:D -

I am so excited, I wasn't that fast but I didn't stop!!!! Yippeee:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: -

Next I fly to San Francisco, but that is next week, what a shame none of you live up there...........my roster is very good, not normally such great work, but the week after that I have horrible day trips which are draining and a horrid start at midnight to fly to Samoa and back in the same duty, yuck! We are provided our uniform (thank goodness), but we buy our own shoes and stockings, I get thru' so many stockings, it is really annoying, so changing my uniform isn't too hard at all, I just fill a form in and send it away and they courier it back to my house, I am ready for a smaller skirt and hopefully trousers will be next!!! Japan actually is a bit boring, well where I am staying is, there is no tV except CNN and BBC, the shops are bad, I am getting a bit bored, thank goodness for the free internet. Yes I must buy some dry beans I have seen them here somewhere for sale, just is a shame if you only want a few for a salad though. Your run was great, was laughing about your run, and the animals, do you really run like Phoebe, I laughed so hard at that episode. Amourette XX:D -

Hi, I am sitting in Japan, after a long day at work today, it is freezing here, so now I understand what you are all dealing with in the States.........there is a nice river next to the hotel so I am going to run along it tomorrow, and walk when I can't run, obviously........ Kat, sorry to hear about your incident, it must have been very scary, I would have freaked, thank goodness you knew what to do. Julie, good luck with the apartment closing, you should show us some photos.......... Betty, the chilli sounds good, it is so hard to get certain foods down our way though, have I told you all about how I lug home cans of pinto and black beans 'cos they are so hard to get here and cost around $4.99 a can!!! Ridiculous don't you think? I brought home some chipotles last week, so looking forward to using those....! Ooooh and there is free internet in this hotel (very unusual) so I will be checking in. Oh and yes I have gone down two uniform sizes and today my trouser and skirt were hanging off me and I will have to change them also, wow, it is soooo exciting! Lov AmouretteXX:D -
HI everyone, I found this thread today, and wanted to introduce myself also. I am Fiona, from Auckland NZ, banded last April 18th in Auckland. I am doing well on my journey, plugging along slowly, have lost 24 kgs so am really pleased. Also have regained interest in life again and started dating (now that's scary hehehe) and love going to the gym again. I am so thankful not to be obsessed about food anymore. Glad to see an aussie thread going on this site, this is a great site, I love it. Hi to you all! XX Amourette!
